Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei manga ending was crazy twisted weird disgusting yet positive yet whatever can't think of other words to qualify it

I liked the ending. It was unexpected, yet fitting, and foreshadowed throughout the entire manga -- even from the very first chapter. Even the anime OPs/EDs -- especially the OP of Season 2 -- gave hints about what was to come.

I mean it's rough because a lot of mangas get axed and the authors have to rush it, and in other cases when it comes to long running manags well, those tend to jump the shark quite often don't they?

I'm not sure I want to rip the author's head off, but Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei manga ending was crazy twisted weird disgusting yet positive yet whatever can't think of other words to qualify it, I would probably put it along with Evangelion ending that I saw (may have been retconned/rewritten/censored/remade/who know since then, in addition to my feelings possibly twisting it beyond its own twistedness)

I have only finished the first season but went look for some spoilers after seeing your post. If the ending played out how I imagined it, I would say it's fairly fitting for the show. Time to marathon the manga. I think I will probably like the ending.

Rushing axed mangas and letting them end with a reasonable (albeit possibly boring or cliché) ending is a choice. Some of these guys went batshit crazy with the most retarded endings possible, effectively flipping off the entirety of their audience. I'm looking for those that ended up in the latter situation.

Gal Cleaning, anyone?

Not that I've actually read it. I've just heard... enthusiastic reviews... about it.

I like the art in that picture, is that from Gal Cleaning? I like this name too, it sounds very clean. What is a goatse. Let me google it. Oh no.

Can I read Gal Cleaning? I like NTR apparently, so I might like 99 days of raping. Wait, is this a hentai or regular manga?

Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin. Absolute character assassination(s) and betrayal of all the themes leading up to the ending arc. Can never read it again knowing what shit it leads to.

When I read the title to this thread I thought this was going to possibly be mentioned early on since something like this happens. But personally, I thought it was an excellent and happy ending. I'm guessing there are some others who agree with me.

Also, I grew to like Attack on Titan much more as the series progressed. It was never awful, but I needed time to adjust because everything is brown, and I usually hate brown movies and anime. It also did not help that most of the characters are butt ugly, with Aaron being the best looking for a long time and he is a dude.

Fortunately, all was remedied when Historia appeared (I knew from the moment she appeared that she was the queen because she was better looking than everyone else). And Historia's sister also kind of looks the same as her. And Aaron's good looks were explained because his mom is looking good, compared to Zeke is a hairy, bearded gorilla haha.

Attack on Titan is really a mecha anime in disguise, and a refreshing take on the genre. I also like the music, with the 4th season first opening being the best.

X anime also had a head chop off ending with low BPM, but the manga never finished. What other animes ended with head chop off, I wonder?

There have probably been a lot of mangas that ended in ways that I hated, but off the top of my head I can't think of any. I think I blotted all of those from my mind. If I remember, I will post. I think Oreimo should get to marry her brother.

Of the manga I've read, Shinigami-sama ni Saigo no Onegai wo, hands down. I'm guessing the author had to rush a finale due to cancellation, but they still could've done a way better job than what we got. The manga quite literally ends on a "Who dunnit?" mystery activity puzzle for the reader. Making this even worse is the fact that the finale leading up to that massive middle finger only presented even more questions than answers. Oh, so now there's a dead aunt that we never heard about until just now? And I tried looking around, NOBODY seems to have figured it out, and that's assuming that there's even an answer to begin with and the author wasn't just trolling the audience. Either way, the whole thing just comes off as the author smuggly looking down their nose and telling the audience "You're dumb and haven't paid enough attention to all the details." Uh huh, and YOU just killed all your credibility as a mangaka. From what I've seen, the manga was rebooted as a new series (Shinigami-sama ni Saigo no Onegai wo RE) just a couple years back, but I don't even have the conviction to check it out if I'm going to just be led astray like that again.

I don't want to spoil anything since the anime is still yet to conclude and some people won't read manga, but Kimetsu no Yaiba had a pretty bad ending to me. The ending itself was bad, but the epilogue - whether it was genuinely just a bad epilogue or if it was sequelbait I'm unsure - was awful.

Then again, I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't love that series, so maybe I'm a little bias against it. It was alright, but there's only one character. Besides Kamado Tanjiro everyone else is just a 2d picture until they die and get a flashback explaining their life to you so that you'll care about them, except you don't because they were in for one arc and now they're dead. You can pull that off with a single character (e.g. Uchiha Itachi) but doing it with everyone doesn't work as it needs the motherload of all setups.

There's a lot of series with mediocre endings or were axed or rushed for whatever reason, but I only recall reading one where the author (seemed to) deliberately write maliciously towards the audience. Enen no Shouboutai (Fire Force).

I didn't even see the end, assuming it isn't yet still limping on. I stopped reading when the author seemingly lashed out at the viewers about sexuality regarding his unfunny "lucky-lecher" character near the end with the ex-enemy/enemy/clone/whatever who instantly cooms when he sees her naked. It was like 2 entire chapters of faceless mob characters voicing the audiences opinion so that the mangaka could argue with themselves about how they were right, or at least that's how it came across to me. I wanted to finish it just to finish it and was quite tired of the nonsensical story, but I eye-rolled and gave up at that point. Great fight scenes in the anime though.

Domekano's. It felt like a huge copout since the author drove himself to a corner by giving too much limelight to Rui.

Herself, you mean. Sasuga Kei is a lady.

I was on the Hina ship and I'm glad she "won" in the end (though I'm not happy about how she "won" it), but I can't bring myself to re-read the manga again.

Two examples I can think of off the top, are Claymore and Aoi Hana.

In Claymore it was just his sloppy moralizing and trying so hard to make the whole thing about the least intersesting and most worthless character in the story (Raki) catering to the worst otaku types.

Did Claymore end? The series was getting good last time I was reading years ago, but it was a long time between chapters. I think I stopped reading when Raki started becoming more prominent.

I guess I shouldn't resume reading that series, then... I also was enjoying how it was going but haven't read it in years now.

I was sort of disappointed with the ending to Shachiku Succubus no Hanashi because we didn't see the characters really get together or anything... kind of a depressing way to end a story about people being overworked by vicious expectations of a modern Japanese workforce.

But at least it fucking has an ending, unlike "[www.pixiv.net] Shukatsu Shippaishita Succubus-san o Hiroimashita" (I Brought Home a Succubus Who Failed to Find a Job) - which has been "on hiatus" since March of last year. And hasn't had a chapter translated since 2019.

So frustrating, since it's a fun read.

why are there so many succubus and what happened in the end of devil is a part-timer

i only watched the first season of the anime so far, if this is one of those common cases where that covers only 10% of the light novel, then there might be no point for me to find out. season two has started though. i won't watch for a long time because i tend not to watch fansubs and i am busy watching umisho and then i need to watch pretty cure music with the pink girl

I want to know whose idea was it to end Akame Ga Kill (the anime not the manga) like that because I just don't get why they did it.
