figured it was better to revive an old thread then start a new one for this so here is my desk top. and I am using xp despite what it looks like, you can see what I am using to make it look like vista by checking out the icons on my desktop.. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I've never understood why some people choose to have humongous quick launch bars.

That's one I never got. How can anyone stand to have a cluttered desktop? I only have a few folders and shortcuts, and maybe a couple notepad docs that I use frequently. Everything else is where it belongs. Programs are in the start menu, pictures are in pictures, documents are in documents, etc. I wouldn't even have a quick launch bar if it weren't surgically attached to the regular taskbar in the Windows 7 update.

I do need to clean off my desktop (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) probably been way too long since I did that last... but I actually use quite of few of the shortcuts there, and it saves me from digging trough my folders which are even more cluttered........ (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I have 6 gigs of a 250 gig hard drive left. and most of that is not pictures and other media, it is software.... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

This is one of the few I use.

Also, a cluttered desktop is terrible. I put my stuff in various folders in My Documents.

My downloads go right to my desktop just because it's easy for me to send them where I want to from there... so sometimes it gets cluttered because I'll copy stuff to where I want to put it instead, and then I forget to clean it... But it's only a matter of selecting everything and Shift+Delete, so it's not too bad for me.

Then again, I could always invest in Cut/Paste instead of copying... but I partition off part of my hard drive just in case of OS reinstallations ^^; so when I move stuff to my storage partition it copies anyway...

i had a whole joker theme going on xp, but i have to totally restart that when i re-install xp pro.

trying to get Detective conan off the ground and running. I've made some progress, but it's still a long way off.

It's from a game series, called Myst, which is kinda adventure-puzzle-game, that permantently abducts in stunnningly atmospheric worlds, i could stare at for hours, while you have to solve some nice enigmatic riddles.
