I took this picture myself, these are Sahuaro Cactus blossoms. Normally they are at the top of the cactus arms, which are 16 to 25 feet in the air.
The Sahuaro Cactus blooms when the temperature reaches 95 degrees (F) or higher. the blooms open at night and only last one day.
This Sahuaro had a deformed arm that was only about 5 feet off the ground. the juice from the fruit is sweet with a very unique flavor.
