QUOTE(Pillowgirl @ Feb 13 2023, 15:10) Only nerds get all philosophical with cartoons or games.
The main issue is that post season 12 Simpsons went down hill. Seems by season 34 they have made Carl straight again which is good? I don't really care though.

QUOTE(EsotericSatire @ Feb 13 2023, 18:22) I think for the first 12 seasons he a was doofus but with family orientated values. From Season 13 he was increasingly just a force of chaos without grounding put into situations to either move the plot forward or to comically destroy everything around him.
"I am all that remains, surrounded in ruin, testament to the decline of humanity. Doh" - Homer Simpson Maybe because it was a slice of life sitcom based on the American dream but the dream itself is dying.

The ratings for the Simpsons has fallen from 15m per episode in season 12 down to 2m for the latest season.
That is still better than some modern shows due to all the shit modern writers.
You would think they would try to fix the writing but its like Garfield now. They deliberately made Garfield extremely formulaic so they can churn it out.

I suppose the best advice I've seen is if you are within 70-100 miles to go get a medical check up now to have a record of your baseline health markers in case there is any class action or future issues. A lot of aquatic life is dying which is an indicator of an issue, but the regulators are issuing an all clear. I'd probably drink bottled water for a month. The canaries all died but all is safe. Its kinda funny they are like, don't worry its just phosgene gas as long as you are not exposed to 0.1 parts per million for more than 8 hours. Live stock.. more like dead stock. The problem is the media is not really covering a massive potential disaster to over for Brandon and his protege apparent Buttigieg.

I've heard bottled water went out of stock in Chicago but up north it seems to be just business as normal.

I think i'd be careful drinking tap water in Chicago under the best of conditions. When the temps are hotter the lead concentrations go a bit too high. The democrats promised to fix the issue before the year 2100. I think its kind of hilarious that Lori Lightfoot slammed previous mayors for kicking the can down the road then vowed to solve the issue by the end of the current century, she won't even be alive by then.

Got another Japanese laserdisc today; "Tune-Up A.V. II."
Used its SMPTE color bars to make some adjustment to my capture card's parameters. Fixed the blown-out and underexposed picture problems. Looks nicer now. Redoing captures.
Unsure if the SMPTE bars' PLUGE is actually different in Japan or not, due to its use of a different black level (0 IRE instead of 7.5).

Very crisp. Yeah, that one's not from a laserdisc. Rather, it is from a disc that is read with a laser, but not a laserdisc. Has that mid to late 90's OVA feel in terms of crispness/production quality. This post has been edited by dragontamer8740: Feb 17 2023, 01:59

Gotta love the MSM.
Yeah also the water testing by EPA got partially debunked, as they were not reporting on water in the rivers they were testing the deep water wells that would take months for any contamination to show up. EPA: The water we tested that couldn't possibly be contaminated yet is fine. Meanwhile people are showing the obviously polluted rivers and all the dead fish.

I'd be getting bottled water if I lived within 50 miles of that disaster.
I'm biased though because I get all my drinking water from a mountain spring.
Also the new google news page layout is fucking retarded and they won't let me go back to the old one.
The old layout was perfectly functional.
Now it's just too busy and bloated with bullshit I didn't ask for.

Your helicopter would malfunction like the guns did, then you would crash and die

The 3 guys just got unlucky. Their guns jammed, emus are tanky, they have great evasive maneuvers, etc. Australia won when they put bounties on them and the farmers hunted them down.
