They don't have pantone color books by default anymore.

Double if you want Pantone. They want 15 a month and break your old files if you don't pay. There is a really hacky pain in the ass way of getting pantone connect then creating your own pallette swatches and color dropper etc. I am surprised there isn't a plugin to automatically do that. There is one to convert from HEX to Pantone. Then you have to document your HEX / Pantone usage like the ancient times. They are basically calculating the extra time in your workflow vs paying a monthly fee.

So if you don't want pantone, your subscription price does not drop? This post has been edited by dragontamer8740: Nov 26 2022, 01:52

QUOTE(dragontamer8740 @ Nov 23 2022, 18:00) I wish modern computer screens were 4:3 so my old anime screenshots would work as wallpaper without cropping.
I looked around I've found that a 32 - 37 inch late 90's / early 00's flatscreen Sony Trinitron is the best 4:3 ratio television. I have a 32 inch for my old consoles. I nearly gave myself a hernia moving it.

I can imagine. My 20" curved trinitron (a pro monitor with RGB inputs from ~2002) is about 75 pounds (34 kilos). Trinitrons in general seem to be much heavier than their non-Sony counterparts. I've got a 27" curved-screen toshiba from the early 2000's with component inputs that I am fond of, too. Been working on trying to make the pincushion adjustment circuit on my commodore 1942 VGA monitor work for the last couple of days. Resigned myself to ordering some transistors now. I thought it was just a broken trimpot, but it wasn't. (The trimpot _was_ broken, but I have a feeling that its failure cascaded and caused some other component to die). This thing has bodge wires all over the place, likely from the factory, which just makes the whole process more frustrating. There's always something broken on it. But the tube is in incredibly good shape compared to all of my others, so I really want it to work. The circuit board some piece of shit korean job from the early 90s (looks to be Samsung or something) with an Orion tube. I've replaced a ton of the capacitors already, so at least it doesn't smell of ozone too much anymore. But this thing just never works 100%. There's always something wrong with it. They're notorious for dry solder joints too.

Yep, I've had plenty of those already. At one point it was horizontally collapsed because of one, and at another point the built-in speakers were totally non-functional because of them. At one point I remotely diagnosed someone's problem with a CRT of theirs that wouldn't sync and had no power LED on as needing a 7812 voltage regulator reflowed. I think this particular monitor is especially susceptible to dry solder joints, being Korean-made from the early 90's. I found a burned out resistor, replaced it and nothing changed. So now I'm going to replace the transistor that that resistor was connected to the collector of. When this thing actually works, it's a great monitor. Old pic. You need a power glove and a light phaser
It makes me feel bad that I modernized my setup.

Confirmed, breath of fire.
Also, the Japan-only Yu-Gi-Oh Toei animation series from '97 would be better without miho (one-shot character in the manga that was written in as a main character for the tv show...). I wonder if anyone's made a fan edit to completely remove her.
Like that guy who edited Big Fat Quiz of the year 2014 to remove Mel B. Or Garfield minus Garfield. Or the Phantom Menace edit(s) that remove Jar-Jar Binks.

I thought Yugi sent her to the shadow realm that the trauma led him to be completely different in the main series.

QUOTE(EsotericSatire @ Nov 29 2022, 07:12) I thought Yugi sent her to the shadow realm that the trauma led him to be completely different in the main series. That almost makes sense to me. BTW, found some very nice (relatively speaking) quality raws of the show. They were sort of hard to track down. The manga is by far the best version of Yu-Gi-Oh, regardless... but the best animated version is also the Toei one by far. I just wish it would have had less Miho and more stuff that was actually interesting. The slight horror edge of it all was the most fun part for me. That and Anzu piecing things together (figuring out what was going on with Yuugi before he even knew). Alright, autists. What is this from? Found the gif on my hard disk today and I probably saved it to try to find a source. (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] https://i.imgur.com/1ZSLEoi.gif) Also stumbled across the first thing I ever saw bubblegum crisis related (the first time I ever got it recommended to me). (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] https://i.imgur.com/WowdA5e.gif) And I found both of those while trying to find this gif - someone somewhere on this forum mentioned chris hansen and I can't find where that was anymore. So here it is. (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] https://i.imgur.com/zSlTT6Q.gif) This post has been edited by dragontamer8740: Dec 10 2022, 10:28
