I just dug up the Hurricane 2032 recordings on my blu rays. They're just tape transfers.

IDK if it's the ringing, the desaturation, the brightness of whites, or just pure nostalgia, but I have to agree with mags.

It was what they used to record stuff.

Any anime that was broadcast in the 90's in Australia was Betacam.
