In 2012 or so I was still taping 6 hour blocks of Adult Swim to watch the next day.
Yeah I think I was recording things too until around 2012 when my good VHS player died. It had all the connections for all my retro consoles. Probably when I stopped using them as I could not keep them connected.
I still have a nicely working Panasonic Omnivision here.
Not got a spare VCR, though.
yeah think my good one was Panasonic, cost $600 originally. Had it repaired twice. Got a cheap replacement and heads wore out in 12 months. You can get cheap VCRs but they don't last.

Mine was $1 at a garage sale in 2010.
I had another panasonic with a funky eject mechanism that was otherwise alright as well. That one had a remote, so I kept the remote after I had to reduce my inventory.
RIP, that VCR and also my GoVideo deck.

Kinda crazy people flee when it goes to shit because of what they vote for then they go elsewhere to escape and they just repeat the cycle.
I was watching a documentary about how LAs 'anti-gentrification' laws actually cause prices to sky rocket because new homes can not be built. Also rent control just encourages people to redevelop apartments into luxury apartments. Whilst the population has actually remained fairly constant lately, the supply of houses has dropped and prices have climbed rapidly.
