Because I can only experience it for the first time once
I have found that I can experience some videos more than once because they have full length director/producer commentary tracks. Watching the anime while the commentary runs can provide an all new experience. Akira and the Utena movie on DVD are examples. I don't know which DVD versions have commentary tracks. I usually buy them when I hear they have commentary tracks, but unfortunately that is often the special edition ones which appear for a limited time.
Utena movie with director/producer commentary track included.

Not just director Bay and producer Bruckheimer, but the other actors commented throughout the whole movie even during the end credits.
