I'd re-read the entire thread with a friend who appreciates good shitposting and anarchy threads the night before. So I only had to remember for about 12 hours.

BTW, he's a fan of yours, Mags. Asked me if you posted anywhere else. I told him "no" because anonymity or whatever. Plus I actually don't know, which probably means you're doing something right or I'm too lazy to try to find out.

He also liked some of your posts, ahuman, except not the one with the stuff I called you an unfunny racist for.

He agrees with me that there's a difference between "funny racism" and "unfunny racism."

America is dying because it's going to be storming throughout most of the road trip I have planned for today and tomorrow. And also because we're all getting diabetes. And because of poor mental health leading to (or at least contributing to) high degrees of gun violence.

If you have over an hour to waste, here's something about America sort of. It actually does evolve into a satire of American political beliefs and how they compare to what we claim they are. Also it's filmcow.

I didn't say a single thing for over the first 100 messages in the thread. Yeah, I am pretty funny when I don't talk.
Also, that entire unfunny racism conversation was hilarious to me. I don't think the memes were that funny but editing the reply act acting like you sent the message made them funny because you aren't someone who would have the bad opinions those memes reflect.

Every time I watch some good anime from the 80's/90's, usually at several points (often during songs), I get hit by a pang of sadness. I feel sadder than I probably should, really... but I just know that what I have is all I'll ever get. There will never be more. Anime is more popular than ever, but all of the stuff that made me love it in the first place is absent.

To answer seriously, it was somewhat mature, thoughtful stories with fun animation. Here "mature" means in terms of philosophies.

Also sometimes just good fun (like Dirty Pair). But the best stuff is the stuff that can make me cry or make me reflect deeply on something.

Also the hand-drawn aspect is important to me. Visual design and story design have both suffered.

I blame normies first and foremost, and moeshit as the most major result of this normiefication.

Naked boobs are great, but they aren't the first thing I fell in love with anime for.

Legend of Overfiend is bisexual, they should show that in schools, very progressive.

Also, I like bittersweet things. And good hand drawn animation, as I said before.
Even things like this make me sad. No matter the subject matter, seeing something drawn this well (especially paired with good music) never fails.


There's still some good music to be had in newer stuff, but it doesn't hit the same.

Oh yeah, same person as the Dirty Pair theme.

I brought it on my laptop to a trip to Iran a long time ago, and it was my halaljerk material. Zero porn on, figured this could be brushed off as cartoons if caught. Wasn't caught should of brought the gayshit.
