Something to remember is that the USA federal government's reported Inflation value is interpreted very differently from when it was determined back during president Jimmy Carter's time. In trying to make a comparison, one media report said that the Biden inflation is equivalent to approximately 17% inflation. That makes a lot more sense since Biden's inflation of 8.5% is far far too low with regards to what I am paying for everything from energy to food items to dry goods to medicines to tools. Some food items that were $2.99 when Biden started are now $4.33 so that is a lot of inflation. A dry goods item I use was $17.95 but is now $26.99 and that rate of price hike sucks. In the case of some other food items, the price only went up 10%, but the package changed from 4.35 ounces to be 3.75 ounces. Shrinkflation sucks just like inflation.

Biden's low inflation number is too tricky. It's like the analysis method tried to trick the voters by reducing the inflation rate by sourcing product prices from the proverbial "dollar store". Of course, they didn't use a dollar store; this is just my hyperbole. However, at the start Biden's presidency, that item cost $1 and in 2022, that item still cost $1 and adding a few such price stable items helps reduce the inflation numbers. But the same price doesn't consider effects of Shrinkflation, but that the intangible factor of product quality also decreased. There needs to be an allowance made for decreasing the product quality too. Otherwise, the published inflation number will be lower than what it actually is.

Considering the politician's pay increase was 3% + 17% cost of living increase, then that figure is probably pretty bang on.

Also, I just rewatched the sixth episode of bubblegum crisis for probably the sixth time. I have no fucking idea how it can keep making me tear up on repeated watches. I wish I knew exactly how it does it, because it plays me like a goddamn fiddle. Maybe I'm just projecting too much of my own philosophy onto it and convincing myself to be sad?

I think some of the good staff went to the spin off company. Gainax went a bit weird with drug deals and shady business practices after a while. No longer do they make an honest living of soft-core hentai.

Visually? Sure.
I tend to care about characters' personalities and actions more. Which is why I kind of appreciate Satsuki.
And Mako is just precious.

Also, Rad, I see what you mean about the dirty pair flash character designs. They look pretty cool.

That's what I feel, although nothing trigger has put out since has grabbed my attention the same way.

Also, too lazy to do a new pixel art or anything, since I've got a lot of work on my plate atm. But new avatar, yay.
