The senate is kind of dumb compared to house of representatives.

But because America has such highly concentrated populations it might be one of the only reasons the midwest hasn't been totally rendered irrelevant in national politics.

So I have mixed feelings about it.

The senate is kind of dumb compared to house of representatives.

The senate normally doesn't do much except what the special interests ask for in the US.


Though recently they have been blocking a lot of unconstitutional legislation and legislation that would let one party win elections forever.

So it depends.

I think they need to get rid of first past the post. The US would probably have five parties then;

Radical Left, Popular left, the Establishment, Popular right, Country/Conservatives.


The radical left and rural/country conservatives, would have less influence and represent a smaller fraction.

The establishment banker/military industrial/tech oligarchs party would hopefully lose power.

Then the main parties would be the popular left and right.

Of course it could go horribly wrong and the radical left, country conservatives or establishment could dominate.

Only thing on my favorite private tracker (the one where I'll probably never be banned because I'm friendly with some of the admins and they aren't dicks who ban people who are inactive for a while anyway) is the regular version of Project Eden.
It doesn't specialize in anime, though; just old stuff in general.

Ah, the times before anime turned into Waifu of the Month fecal discharges.

Watching Devilman:Crybaby put me on a Go Nagai kick for a bit. I watched the old Devilman OVA trilogy, Violence Jack, and New Cutie Honey. As well as the animes and those of other series he worked on. Violence, tiddies, profanity, batshit insane plots. Those times are long behind us.

I accidentally watched an entire yaoi anime called 07-Ghost about 10 years ago, when [dattebayo] was still releasing shippuuden and i started browsing their fserver on irc and decided "hey that title sounds nice" and then halfway into the series i realized there were no females.

Feels bad man.

Speaking of wimmin, obtaining the Tenchi Muyo OVA's (first two series) and Dirty Pair (1985 anime, 1987 OVA's) right now.

Should I bother with the later Tenchi Muyo OVA's? If so, where's the cutoff point?

The purpose of the senate is to be bought out and bribed by special interests and their body are inherently obstructionist. It has always been an inherently undemocratic institution meant to give the early American aristocrats and later the capitalists a fulcrum to increase their minority power and to be oligarchs. Having elections every two years makes a lot more sense.

The idea that Wyoming and Delaware should an equal vote to the entire populations of California and Texas is retarded and indefensible. All justifications for the status quo are undemocratic and in defense of corruption and maintaining the ease of political lobbying by massive interstate corporations.
