Anyone can draw something on a computer.
Old school mediums are the best.
I have sketchbooks full of drawings since I was a kid.
Also I watched Venus Wars the other day.
Still great.
I am always proudest of what I draw in pencil/other paper media.
Also computer art still feels clunky to me with the sole exception of pixel art.
A lot of my profile pics have been digital tracings/colorings of drawings I did on notebook graph paper (but not as pixel art).
Even if I'm just pixellizing a drawing that an existing drawing that was already made by a better artist, I still find the process enjoyable. And making something on my own is even better (but holy shit does it take a long time.)
And it's a hell of a lot less expensive to practice coloring on a computer.
It's also great if you want to try to figure out elements of a specific style. The profile picture I'm using was basically a study in hair lighting.
I kind of want to try to do something with this. But I don't want to just trace it, either. We'll see if I ever actually do anything. I think it could be a good reference for face shapes in general.

I almost wish I wasn't so attracted to tragic heroines. Though technically this one is a robot.
