I couldn't tell the difference between my VHS copies and many of my early DVD copies of series... then I found out they were mastering from the VHS copies...

They would've been ripped from NTSC versions.

Betacam was the shit and was arguably quality than laserdisc.

Anything broadcast quality usually is.

We had awesome quality Betacam broadcasts in Oz back in the 90's.

Unfortunately the transmission towers were totally crap and what you saw on tv was just a hollow mockery of the perfection that could've been if the Australian government gave 2 shits about anything other than failing the people who voted them in.

betacam was better than LD because it kept luminance and chrominance separate.

LD's might have higher raw TVL count, but composite artifacts can be quite deleterious.

Yeah I think they were ripped from 2nd hand US versions.

I now have a working genlock.

Seven more episodes left to sync subs to.
I think I'll include the Amiga JACOsub files in the torrent I make for the LD copies when I do it. For kicks.
At least the rest of these episodes aren't double-sided. It's annoying for syncing subtitles up.

edit: Also they have traced 10m in dirty money to Biden's family and an 'unknown' Biden, and they only have records from 4 /12 of the banks used to transfer money.

Its a weird tip toe, like we have Hunter saying its Joe Biden multiple times, but still they do not have 'concrete' proof the unknown Biden is the President? Is it only if Hunter testifies?

Second, they were super cool as mod. Did you not see how many times they edited my messages to make me look like even more of an asshole? There were times when I would giggle about something stupid I said, and then check back and see that PK ghost edited it to something even dumber. Made me laugh for so long.

Usually it's just stuff about our metrics, like ban-hours per poster-week. We try to aim for roughly a 2.4% increase per week, but you can imagine the compound interest on the accounts of some older users, so we have to be pretty harsh sometimes to meet quotas. I don't like being too mean to people, so this is a pretty hard part of the job, but I manage my stress by painting bad things happening to animals.

Every now and again we have these big arguments about which tag to change next. These get a bit technical for me and I only have a little rat brain, so I kinda glaze over until they're done. Once someone tells me what side I'm on, I can go argue about it on the forums safely knowing the Mod Crew Gang has my back in case I get caught out of my depth.

People talk about a mod curse sometimes. Sudden retirements. Unexpected absences. But it's not usually disappearances... well, one guy died, but... I mean, it wasn't in the line of duty, I think?

The forums aren't too bad to police. Tenboro won't let me have a gun, or even a stick, but honestly I don't think I need one. Everyone here's been pretty nice, except the people who aren't, but I can just imagine they're squirrels and pick up the paintbrush again...

I don't ask for much. Just a little respect for my authority. But also maybe my wisdom - you see, by deciding who the stupid posters are and censoring them, I can save you the time and effort. This is a hard job, because it means I have to understand everything, but I've been preparing for this my entire life by rereading Sherlock Holmes stories, so I feel pretty smart by now.

I'm hoping for a promotion this year. That means I have to excel, and that means my numbers have to go up, so you better think carefully about how you reply to me - or you might be next to feel my hammer.
