IV V iii (some kind of passing chord that I can't determine) vi on C major.

Probably the song I like best from EGOIST. I prefer this way more to the other ED songs from Psycho Pass.

This seems like kind of a good song actually. It is peaceful and relaxing. I like the
Genshin Impact versions.
How the fuck
QUOTE(BlueWaterSplash @ Dec 11 2021, 08:00)

What a masterpiece. Though I only recently noticed that it makes use of 3 extremely common progressions (anime progression at 0:32, canon at 0:47, anime again at 1:09, komuro at 1:22). If this song were longer, it would easily satisfy both round 1 and 2. FD goes through 4 key changes, from G to A to A# to B to C# with the last 3 key changes squeezed into the last chorus (and the bridge but let's count it as the last chorus), creating such a feast of energy.

Does not satisfy round 2 condition. There's no key change. The entire song is quite repetitive as well, not something I would vibe to.
QUOTE(Cramped Tail @ Dec 12 2021, 10:45)

but it is really hard to find music(song) more than 5mins, I guess it is because the music productor or the player will feel so tired to last that long. anything I can take more than 5 mins is mas***bation _(:з」∠)_
That was the idea. I want submissions with more thoughts (and knowledge) going into them instead. Long songs tend to need some finesse to it so that listeners don't get bored after one chorus. Cheating by using a slow tempo won't always work either because it might become boring to listen to. Round Ex will be extra brutal if 5 minute songs are already difficult to find. Though I promise the rewards will be worth the efforts if someone manage to get some correct songs.

Unfortunately, song length invalidates this entry.

What a song. I really like this one. This is the round 2 winner unless someone can topple it.

If I understand correctly, for this song is
intro(0:00)>verse(0:18)>chorus(1:08)>verse(1:48)>chorus(2:37)>verse(3:15)>outro(4:11) ?
Pls don't edit this late or your entry will be disqualified as per the rule. I tend to not retroactively read edits as well, so just create a new post.
3:15 I wouldn't call it a verse but rather a bridge (or middle 8, but people have a lot of ways to call this section and they are not consistent all the time). 4:11 is last chorus. I tend to call outro the part that comes after the last chorus (4:51). If you are planning to do round 2 as well, then starting at 4:11 there is a key change. The easiest way to detect is an obvious change in the tone of the whole song, and the vocals (become higher).

Now that round 1 is over, I want to comment a bit on round 1 entries.
Most people seem to have an impression that just a long song is enough, or development is the basic song structure (intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, outro). But the
development I was looking for was some kind of adding up gradually, meaning that verse 2 should provide something that verse 1 does not have, chorus 2 should provide something that chorus 1 does not have, and chorus 3 should have something chorus 2 doesn't have. Furthermore, the change has to be evident enough and not a subtle addition. Usually these are the common options: more instruments, more vocals, higher key, faster tempo, more liberal use of chords, etc. to create some kind of emotional elevation in the song.
If I had been strict with rating, probably only half the songs would have been accepted.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KLPuRnsR84 was accepted for an entirely different reason however since it was literally a rollercoaster of emotion, though the emotion it invoked in me was not necessarily a pleasant one.

Also updated the rules a bit so that gold star people can have more fun and enjoy bigger prizes.
