It's not exactly rocket science. While I'm hardly part of a brain trust myself even I figured out about the other place before people started beating it over others heads. Reading all the posts sure has been amusing, though.

grgspunk has a point. (Please don't hit me) Tenboro probably could have worded that announcement differently to avoid some of the panic. But then, maybe that's not his style. I haven't spent enough time around the guy to know.

Move the servers to the Netherlands. One of the other sites I used to frequent did this and they have not had any problems with the morality Police. Especially since the law was amended as : "On October 1, 2002, the Netherlands introduced legislation (Bulletin of Acts and Decrees 470) which deemed "virtual child pornography" as illegal.[7] The laws appear to only outlaw "realistic images representing a minor engaged in a sexually explicit conduct," and hence lolicon is not included.[8]" TO REPEAT: LOLICON IS NOT A REALISTIC DEPICTION OF A MINOR IN THE EYES OF THE DUTCH. Translation: 3D depictions of minors is deemed to be Child Pornography, meaning CG and Photo Realastic images are considered Porn. Think about it!

It's not a question of law. Read the news post. The advertisers don't feel good about that content because of their "morals".

I can understand not reading this entire thread, but one would think you could at least read the announcement. This has nothing to do with legality: the advertisers simply don't want this stuff on the same site as their ads.

cant we just find new advertisers? because if content gets removed then the interaction on this websites plummets and the website wont be as expensive as before. or on a weekly/monthly basis we re-upload all the removed contents and the administrator just tell the advertisers "we are removing the content as best as we can but the process is a long and complicated one" just like what Google is doing, it takes them ages to remove something and it takes like 5 mints to re-upload the same thing that was just removed. so basically we have all the galleries back but they keep being removed and re-uploaded

The thing is, aside from the standpoint of lolicons, most multichapter mangas feature atleast 1 loli/shota/borderline character. If they are still open, they are now in danger in the future as soon as the morality police finds something, and this mess just gives them a basis to believe youll fix it in the future. Pretttty much I hope the lolicon galleries are being stored for when the problems are resolved before it causes a mess of other problems such as:

Lowered popularity of the site, and creating demand for another site that allows this.

Which means a hit to sponsors, a hit to donations, and then this site is in a hole.


so this is a problem that HAS to be fixed, a hentai site cannot exist underclose observation from the moral police. The only solution I can think of is to talk it over with sponsors, as for any other fix, I dont know.EDIT: Or i[t could be close to a certain day, and this totally got me.
