I know there's the alternate site and all, but what's going to happen to all the uploaders/downloaders who don't frequent the forums? How are they gonna know not to panic and read Panuru's sig?

If they care at least a little bit, i dont see why they shouldnt check the forum -and this thread-.

I wouldn't overestimate uploaders like that if I were you though.

I daresay the people who have the mental capacity to figure out the uploader have the mental capacity to read the announcement.

I'm not talking about that--Anyone with half a brain can look at the announcement. I'm talking about them having the reading ability to be able to understand that nothing's actually been deleted and that they're just available on a different portion of the site. After all, I myself didn't get a full understanding yesterday either, so there's bound to be others like me who couldn't read between the lines.

I mean, you've seen the one-post users on this thread who immediately jumped to the conclusion that the stuff has been permanently removed and banned altogether, right?

grgspunk has a point. (Please don't hit me) Tenboro probably could have worded that announcement differently to avoid some of the panic. But then, maybe that's not his style. I haven't spent enough time around the guy to know.

Yeah, but you can certainly teach a human how to fish, though. I don't see why providing clearer information wouldn't help them more.
