It means that the gallery in question has been expunged for some reason, probably for being a duplicate.

It means it's been expunged, and if you refresh, you won't see it anymore.

You can check Petition to Expunge -> Show Expunge Log on this gallery's page for reasons the expungers gave. Usually it's a link to previous gallery, an information that the gallery is a compilation of doujins or something similar outlined in Expunge Guidelines thread in FAQs section of this forum.

And yet for what little people pay to use this site, you fail to take into account all those uploaders who entrusted their hard-to-find collections to E-hentai by posting them here. They're risking losing their doujins/manga/CG sets by posting their stuff here. They may not pay money, but they're certainly paying by having their gallery lists emptied out and not being informed of where they're actually being hosted. They have good reason to do what you call "bitching".

Some of it is some channers and trollers just raging at the site, apparently there was a thread up somewhere on chan to start false tagging to undermine the site, like you they thought they could get Tanboro to just undo what he did. And really just making things worse for everybody.

Also, read the thread, nothing is actually gone, just being blocked, again it's been a day, we're being assaulted. And all I see against it all is Tanboro, and he's working on it already. Are you working on it? By any chance?

Searches are cached, so a gallery may still be listed for a few minutes after its expunction.

It doesn't go away for the other site, though. It's viewable and searchable on the other site regardless of whether it's been expunged for the main site.

You can search for it by checking 'Show Expunged Galleries' under 'Advanced Options' on the search page.

As for seeing them on a certain other site? Probably a side effect of putting it up so quickly. I'm sure it'll be fixed eventually.

Galleries can be deleted completely too, not only expunged. Child porn ones and those whom copyright owners want down get this treatment.
Not that I ever seen a child porn gallery here in those 2 years of browsing.

As for galleries being hidden or being removed...

Mine was removed entirely even from gallery management.

I can only assume it was the speed tagging that nailed it.

1st: A sad day indeed. I didn't think such a thing would happen before at least 2 more years.
I'll still come though. Maybe not as often.

Query: I went to bed and haven't been around for the sky falling around us for the past 9 hours or so, so have the rules been tweaked somewhat? My favorite gallery is now back. I see that several of the pictures containing underage sex are now open to interpretation, but there is still two pics at the end that clearly show little kids fucking an adult woman. Are we not blocking access to whole galleries for two pics now?

By the way, Tenboro said that he had to pay $46000 in 2009 and that donations were less than half of that, right?

Then I asked myself, "what donations?" and "how do you donate to the site?" Then I checked the front page and compared it to the gallery. The front page does have the donation info, but from my experience, but there's nothing like that in the gallery section. I think the problem with a lack of donations may be due to a lack of accessibility.

From my experience, many people go to the galleries directly via a forum/blog link without going to the front page--That means many people who go to the site don't even need to visit the front page, and they don't even know about the donation page. How exactly do you expect people to donate if not a whole lot of people know where they have to go to donate?

Shouldn't there be a "Donation Info" link on the gallery section? You know, alongside the buttons such as "my home", "upload galleries", "information", etc?

Don't get angry at them, dude. Remember, there are uploaders amongst the complainers. I don't think they'd appreciate losing access to all the doujins/CG sets/manga they worked so hard to collect and post on this site.
