I swore I wouldn't post in this thread again, but I think this guy has a valid point. As I understand it, the advertisers who threatened to pull funding have already left, and the site has some new advertising, so shouldn't we be able to set things back to normal soon?

Maybe its just late and im not getting the picture, but i think if we are not supposed to ask about the kind of regulations our sponsors want/dont want then we are going to roll on stereotypes, and if we do then we might as well close down the entire site cause there are surely some random people around who think this entire thing is disgusting and we are going straight to hell or whatever place for watching and sharing it.

Fixed standards are a necessity.
You set up regulations so you can fit the criteria of specific people like our sponsors.
However it seems our sponsors did not demand anything like this which leads to the conclusion that we are setting up rules randomly.

On the other hand, i am already over explaining a simple enough question.
I merely would like to understand whose criteria we are aiming for by setting up these rules.
If the answer is nobody then the conclusion would be that the site owner went full retard, which (if i may add) i honestly doubt, and this doubt leads me back to the previously mentioned question.

If the answer is No. Then I'm sorry but you should read this thread more closely (ignore the lurker rage-comment, annoyance and the respective the sarcastic response and read the posts of the regular members) before stating your opinion of Tenboro as a retard, he created this site with passion and a desire to share, and we have gained a lot out of his unpaid work.

If the answer is Yes. You should consider that nothing has been lost, nor deleted, rendering your point mute and inconsequential.

If you can't state an opinion or point of view without insulting someone, then you are exposing yourself to be treated the same way.

If you're so much of an idiot that you need it spoon-fed - what exactly did you think would happen if we did nothing and just jumped advertisers? Do you really think that the new advertisers would hold up any better than the old ones, despite all evidence to the contrary? If you've been paying attention, recent events have shown that my response was exactly the correct one for preserving the site. Certain other sites who thought their advertisers didn't give a crap were eventually proven wrong, and at least one site was even delisted from Google for nothing more than drawing cartoon boobies the wrong way.

What you need to understand is that there are a lot of people out there with no idea of the true meaning of "freedom and liberty for all", who have lots of time on their hands and nothing better to do than go on pointless crusades against things they don't like. They are the seeds of religious fundamentalism and suppressive dictatorships, and the only silver lining, of which you should be happy, is that I'm much, much smarter than they are.

You misunderstand me there Tenboro.
I know exactly how these people are with their little crusades against everything and everyone and alas also know how sponsors can react to stuff like this.

However there is nothing wrong with asking your sponsor's opinion about the issue. I doubt that they have no idea what they are sponsoring and if that assumption is correct then this story can be addressed casually.
Also, no. I dont mean rushing them like "soz guys, do you mind if i distribute child porn and beasty", but simply asking them about what they find agreeable and what not as sponsors.

I see how you are trying to preserve the site's and your own freedom by not wanting to ask this question, however it already starts to backfire on you. You just made some rules assuming that your sponsors wouldn't like your site.
My point was merely that if you follow this logic you can close down the entire site because there will be always people who wont like it. Amongst these people sponsors are the easiest to handle since you can simply ask what they would agree with and what not.

Alas this is merely my opinion and nothing more. Feel free to discard it if you think you know better.

As bottom line: I love your site and it might be shocking but not for the porn it holds. The bounty and credit system seeks its equal and ensures that the content is kept always fresh whilst a community is formed beyond all of this.
Rare to see such a well thought site and idea.
