seeing that the huge amount of galleries that is making the site's expenses high, why don't you remove everything with a lower rating then 1, 2 or 3 stars after a certain period of time after upload, maybe a month or so?

If no one likes those galleries then why keep them?
You will probably remove a lot of "unwanted" content that will save the site a lot of storage costs.
Maybe you then can become a site that gets it's income from donors and not become so dependent on the advertisers

Personally I don't get why this site has a non-h, cosplay, asianporn "part".
The site is called "e-hentai.org". And I don't like the 3d stuff that much either, pretty pointless.... a lot of them gets a very low rating. Focus on the hentai (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

And if possible maybe get some ads that actually are clickable. I don’t like the idea of getting into childporn/ virusinfected sites. If that is possible we could actually go into those sites just to support you and your site. Btw. do you get pay per view or pay per click?

We have very little "idle" content. Of the 186881 galleries that have ever registered a pageview, 125597 registered a pageview the past week, and 155440 have been accessed the past month. Only 4000 galleries have been "idle" for more than a year, and that includes all that have been banned, replaced, and deleted. So there's little to gain by getting rid of them.

So the extra stuff is there to get more traffic?

And anyway, your idea is awful in the sense that the plebeian masses should never be given the ability to remove content they don't like. There was at least 1 guro gallery that got over 80% in expunge votes as illicit by lurkers despite it being a perfectly legitimate gallery.

I get you point when it comes to the guro and other “special” fetishes, so lets just make them a exception for now... the site owner can probably figure out a way to fix this problem...

btw. with the curent system those "plebians" can remove those galleries just by taging the gallery "lolicon" etc.

Content being accessed does not necessarily mean that it is wanted. There is something called curiosity. A great “first” picture in the gallery attracts a lot of viewers, but it does not mean that they will like it when they see the rest.
