Don't you realise whats going on here? This type of stuff is what caused this whole problem. People just decided that they didnt like lolicon, and wanted it removed, and now people are talking about removing even more stuff? are you kidding me?

If by people, you mean the advertisers that fund this site, then yes.

This site can't be everything to everyone. If removing some of the unrelated material (real porn, 3d, western) allows the site to better achieve its core goal, then it should be removed.

The advertisers yes, but someone had to complain to the advertisers first to get this all started.

I agree that this could work, but I think it should be the result of long thorough discussions. We can't just delete stuff every time a lurker posts "I don't like [Insert category here]"

And deleting a category dosent necessarily fix the problem. Like how we used to have a "real porn" category, and it got renamed to "asian porn". Diｄ that remove real porn from the website? no, people just started posting it in misc. If we deleted the image set category, people would just start posting them in artist cg, or game cg, or even misc, and it would be a nightmare to organise.

So while I'm not a big fan of "western" stuff, I see it as being there more for keeping the western galleries appart from all the rest, and in the meantime not pissing off the people who might have one or two western galleries that they actually like, and not having to put all western content in the against the rules list, where from then on users would have to expunge every single western gallery that people would try to upload, which would be quite a hassle.

If only you could read any of this thread BEFORE you posted about everything getting removed... Maybe you could have still saved the one's that are not anywhere else on the inter-webs.

Hmm.. I was pretty sure it was in the opening post of this thread =S

I remember tenboro saying that people have been complaining to the hosts for a long time, but that the hosts were cool with it, and then all this started when the same people started complaining to the advertisers..

Maybe its in another one of tenboro's posts somewhere in here.. but I don't feel like reading all of this again T_T

except that there was some 'not telling the whole truth' in the original post that spawned this 80 page beast. forgive my skepticsm, but i can't take anything at face value once a sliver of doubt has been created. and if that was cleared up, no i did not read the entire thread, only to page 20 or so.

i was recently kicked off one of my networks too, and i'm fairly sure it had nothing to do with a complaint. usually when complaints are received and i get booted from somewhere the opening line of the e-mail is 'we received complaints...'. granted e-hentai is not myincesthentai, however i am just recalling events from my personal experiences.

all i did was switch my advertising to a NL company, like my servers. lolicon is legal, haters can get fucked, money is made, people are happy and life goes on.

You got me wrong there...( and I guess Lolicon is legal almost everywhere)... what I meant was that, despite the fact that drawn pictures of any kind are legal, there´s always someone who likes to suppress others... (look at the recent things going around here, poor Tenboro, having to relocate the stuff and all)

Well the only reason Tenb would have done this to fuck with people is for an april fool's prank, and he's specifically said it isn't one, and it's after april folls when he would have revealed said prank to be a prank.

I doubt he just woke up one day and said "I feel like doing hours and hours of work, just to fuck with people, and then come up with a creative temporary solution to my own screwing with people."
That sounds like a lot of fun.
