Definitely according to the law. In US of A. But judging from opening post, current problem isn't about the law, it's about ad companies who don't want to be considered as supporting the site with such content. So it's basically about pleasing them, adjusting so they continue to do business with the site. I don't know what point of view they have, as with drawn sex, how can people agree how young the characters look?

It's a law in many countries beyond the USA, and I do believe that that's the issue. The advertisers for this site don't want to be associated with anything that might be seen as ether illegal or possible extremely immoral. As such I do think they care, perhaps not quite as much but still enough. I think it's retarded and fundamentally detrimental to society. I'll admit that while most of lolicon was just smut there was some stuff out there that was I think beyond pure porn, even if that was all the original artiest intended it to be, and I believe that by banning it all we have become poor for it.

Anyway, I'm not sure lolicon even matters. Eventually all cartoon and drawn porn will likely be illegal, for many of the same reasons they've made lolicon illegal.

What's really disappointing is that this doesn't only effect lolicon and beastiality people. So much outside of those genres is gone. Most of the hentai seems to be gone, and the vast majority of it wasn't lolicon or beastiality.

If a gallery had a single, one image which depicted some kind of that content the entire gallery is gonna be purged. Awesome. I imagine all the games/anime image collections which had some kind of loli/shota in them going as well.

You would think that there are enough adopt-a-server slots taken to completely user-support one full server and split it off. Granted, it would probably run a little slow from all the traffic, but the adopters would get a heap of GP and Hath for the same reason.

Why don't you just limit the bandwidth on anonymous users and users who don't donate $1 a month. Just cap the amount of bandwidth anyone can use to something low enough they can't eat up lots of bandwidth, then if they log in and donate $1 they get uncapped for a month.

Or if $1 is too small of a transaction then do $5 for 5 months. If what you say is true about if every user only donated a tenth of a cent a month it would fund it, then this should probably suffice just fine. Please consider it. Ads suck anyways and smart people usually block them.
