As the 0.88 update alters the Dance with Dragons arena, it's time to retire the old Post Your Stats on DwD thread and start a new one.

Although it's impossible to truly verify a result, I'm going to try to keep a list of records, with links to posts. This can help new players find data about each style, and we might be able to learn more about how to play different styles better.

Please post your results for any of these battles on PFUDOR, along with your style, your level, and any other information you want to share (Monsterbation logs are best):

To qualify for a record you must be level 500 and provide adequate information about your clear (including your tower damage bonus if you know it!), however anyone is welcome to post and discuss their playstyle in this thread. Records will be ranked by turn count, not real-time. Links to posts will be given. Gum/vase runs do not count (but can still be interesting to share).

I'll probably also add links to other interesting & useful posts in a 'see also' bit for each record, since DD9, high-tower bonus clears aren't necessarily great data for everyone...

Clears should be done on persistent HV, not isekai. (You are still welcome to discuss isekai here, just make sure you clearly say it's isekai in your post!)

5+0 dark with 10.2% tower buff:

Wonder how fast it'll be on Monday, and now with the title buff...

Edit: 1,878 turns on the new DWD as DW (since it's Friday!), but hoping to improve that next week so no point adding much more info... I fucked up by not putting haste/sveil back on autocast after some 1H tests in that persona yesterday. The 3SG rounds starting on an even round instead of odd is also a little unfortunate for me due to OFC timing.

Secret Pony Level: 2854 Turns


Not optimal, just explore, so I use Sroll of Life and Scroll of Protection in in last Round in Secret Pony Level to reduce the Chance of defeated. Because the Titile Dovahkiin has the same Bonus as Godslayer, I use the FUS RO DAH in Secret Pony Level. In the first Round, I clear all the normal Monsters, use Staff to hit the SG left to collect 240 OC, in the last Round I use FUS RO DAH first to stun all the Ponies, and the I can use MagNet, Slience and Weaken without Danger (I can even use Focus). Since FUS RO DAH is also available for the new Title Ponyslayer, I will try to use the same Strategie in Post-Game Content tomorrow, maybe I don't need Elixir then.

Any other info that would be helpful?

Those are pretty good times, but are you using 5+0 or 4+1?

MagNet probably still isn't worth it on the SGs (besides, it has a cooldown so you'd only be able to hit one at a time).

5+0 all peerless (but not all radiant). Maybe not optimal (legendary radiant could be better for some pieces) but it just would not do to be caught in merely legendary gear. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Yeah, the cooldown is annoying, but it should recharge by the next round. And often you can get 2 of the 3 schoolgirls with a magnet (and I can ignore Konata for it as a wind mage, since she dies fast with just imperil). Might test it this weekend.

Mmmmmaybe, yeah - it's worth considering for some rounds, as long as the non-Konata SGs aren't spread apart. But magnet can be resisted too, and you can't recast, so against 2 SGs - unless it hits both of them, the advantage is largely wasted, I think.

So basically PGC takes more or less as much time and turns as old DwD, but with double the credits and maybe more exp, nice! Played the arenas again, I failed to notice the extra credits were due to the first time clear. It gives a puny amount of credits, and the real income comes from the trophies.

But a thing to note is that old DwD felt pretty "smooth" lately, as in I could even last for a while without casting Regen as long as I had a health draught active, and I could last for a lot of rounds without curing with just Regen, hell every once in a while I didn't even need to cure at all in the arena, but PGC feels really different, a misstep costed a lot of health and sparked a couple of times.

It also feels slow, like all my gains have been lost and I'm back to myself from 85 levels ago. And the last monsters made for an uncomfortable last round, thankfully I had prepared a Fus Ro Dah binding beforehand to play around and it came handy on that last fight, but I can already feel it's gonna be a pain to play this arena when I'm not in the mood. Then again it pays more for the same time invested so... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
