QUOTE(Ulquiorra1994 @ Jan 11 2022, 00:03) Hello people, I wanted to know what happened to the gallery before the images looked like you published them and now to see them as before you have to publish it, why did they make that change? Now is it more uncomfortable? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) I'm not too sure if I'm understanding you right, but you have a pseudo gallery you can check images with prior to publishing by clicking on an image and navigating with the left and right arrow keys.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jan 12 2021, 14:33) 2022-01-19 - The minimum power requirement for restricted tags was increased from 12 to 15.
I hate this little one here.

So do I, but ultimately I think it is a good change, it will increase accuracy and lower the necessary work to correct wrong tagging. But if this really is the objective, I think simply excluding the HV of giving any MP is a better idea.

It's still possible to request upvotes in https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=184081The only difference really is that a few tags need to be peer reviewed until you are at 15mp, which shouldn't matter too much if they are correct.

Personally, I would even extend the minimum voting power criteria to all tags who are "dificult" or disputed or with generally low accuracy

It's not like I don't get that line of thinking, but realistically we have to be careful not to make it a system that the average user can't get into without a bunch of hurdles. Restrictions like this shouldn't ever become normal, it's more just a testament to how bad poor grammar is that it was warranted. The moment it becomes normal, is the moment we get "can we have this problematic tag, and your arguments are invalid because you can restrict it" tags.

Is it possible to add .webp as a supported filename extension when using the img bbcode tag? Webps are becoming increasingly common, and I have to rename them to .jpg or .png in order to embed them; then if somebody saves the file, they get an incorrect extension for the actual filetype. Converting them is either lossy or wastes space. While minor, it seems like it would be easy to add. QUOTE THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUND You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board.

Sure. Try it now.

I'll be swapping out the web cluster nodes on the first of the three web shards over the next couple of hours. I don't expect this to cause any visible disruption as I'll be doing one node at a time, but it is a major version update for everything, so some glitching is possible.
Edit: The nodes on the first shard have all been replaced. Let me know if you notice any weirdness.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jan 30 2022, 04:53) Sure. Try it now. What about SVG then? I use SVG to make a dynamic countdown timer to be embedded at the forum. And what about removing all the restrictions? Yes, I can't use ".svg" directly, but I can use ".svg#.png" to simply bypass the restrictions. A pure string-based restriction does nothing.

OK. QUOTE(OnceForAll @ Feb 10 2022, 12:43) And what about removing all the restrictions? Yes, I can't use ".svg" directly, but I can use ".svg#.png" to simply bypass the restrictions. A pure string-based restriction does nothing.
I'm aware, but then I'd have to actually find the check in the code and remove it, which needs testing and could have unintended consequences.

I am having a weird issue were it keeps telling me to log in and even after I login it keeps telling me I have to log in again. This only started in the last two weeks, could it have something to do with the migration?

You seem to be logged in since you can post?
Just to confirm, you aren't using any browser plugins/extensions that say they are related to the site? (If you are, remove them and change your password, none are supported, and many are there to steal credentials)

I hope to be able to upload webp files soon, it seems that such a desire is not uncommon among uploaders

Fair warning: Due to chronic overloading of L1 image servers caused by automated downloaders, the "Download original source" function will start requiring GP again during peak hours starting tomorrow. "Peak hours" for this purpose is (in UTC) weekdays between 14:00 and 20:00, and weekends starting 14:00 on Saturday until midnight on Sunday.
(I don't particularly care if anyone doesn't like this change. This is FYI only, not an invitation to debate.)

Will there be something like a warning message when we hit the "download original" link, for confirmation
Or does it just silently siphon off GP points ?
And does it involve evryone, or are donators exempt ?
Just to know where we stand ...
