Just like you said, I've disappeared from many communities too for similar personal reasons. You always hope they come back. Even here. For years I've been in and out of this site on a deeper level (always using it though, even if I didn't use the forums) and almost all of my interactions with the guy were on a semi-serious level regarding tags, site mechanics, and whatnot. But he was an absolute mainstay of the site. Someone we all knew. One of those faces you kind of always assume is going to always be here. It's not unfair to say that his username, his avatar are kind of iconic for the forums.

He posted a lot of very melancholic and introspective stuff before he died. I know you mentioned there was no foul play. Obviously we don't have all the details but from what he posted it's clear he was thinking about life in general. It's a shame in death you never get to see what you mean to so many different people, even in tertiary ways you'd never think of because it wasn't on that deep personal level.

Shocking to me, for real. Absolutely shocking. And I always really liked the guy. He was a real person so I'm not going to put any stupid pithy meme shit in here. I'll just say I hope you found some real peace brother, you are very sorely missed here, I'm sure by your offline friends and family, and thank you so much for all you did for everyone and the site. Godspeed bud.
