My condolences and sympathy to his family and friends.
I guess this is the most important thing to say at this point, not forgetting those who were his close friends online only. I do appreciate the fact that his brother let Tenboro know – in many cases, our real-life close ones would not be able to, would not have the energy to, or would not bother to.

That's not the news that we wanted.
I agree. I was an avid follower of at least one of the galleries he used to update. Furthermore...

Your contributions to E-Hentai were invaluable, you will be greatly missed
QUOTE(Awekaweka @ Nov 21 2020, 16:02)
A dedicated man is always a huge loss, and it's disastrous.
I never got to know Joe personally, and part of the reason was that he gave the impression of a no-nonsense guy, not really the most approachable type. Yet I viewed his actions and reactions remembering that he was one of the most dedicated people in charge of a huge forum and gallery community. I have some experience of moderating sites a lot smaller and homelike than this one, and know people who have put years of their spare time into it. Believe me, even those sites have a hard time coping without people similar to late Joe – people who are hard-working, people who cannot always be friendly to everyone, people who can stand lots of attacks and just carry on like nothing happened.
QUOTE(Juggernaut Santa @ Nov 22 2020, 04:58)
I won't be hypocritical like some "after passing away everyone was great and never did anything wrong, and I will be sure to remind everyone in public" people.
That sort of non-hypocrisy is what I tried to express above in my own way. The people who leave before we do should be judged fairly, neither idolizing them nor throwing dirt on them. But I do think even we who hold this view should stress the positive side right below the obituary. (And in this case, it is not hard for me to do so.)
QUOTE(decondelite @ Nov 21 2020, 12:47)
Nobody believes me when I say that death is a common reason why people go missing all of a sudden.
Well, some people might. Just a couple of years ago, I lost a whole online community due to the death of its founder and main administrator. Before that, a young member of another community, where I was moderator, died unexpectedly. We were not close friends, but I had hung around with that person at offline meet-ups at least twice. It felt really odd to get the sad news, plus reliable confirmation. And I don’t think I’m the unluckiest person around in this regard.

We had some discussion about his famous monster ealrier this year, you can find it in topic "Monster names that made you laugh, The Gallery Of Funny Monster Names".
R.I.P. for Joe and hope his lovely monsters could be with him forever.
Suggest tenboro make his monsters always active in commemoration of him in hentaiverse.
I wholeheartedly agree with Bolide. Just days before Tenboro’s announcement, I encountered Standard Deviation Joe in Hentaiverse and took a screenshot... At that point, I just grinned in amusement, then went looking for Joe’s last forum contributions after clearing the arena, wondering whether I’d find any indication of what had caused his absence.
