Just tried it, doesn't work (at least for me).

Nothing visible happens, not even errors. But in FF console it says "SyntaxError: missing ; before statement"

Yeah, appeals do not have a rejected state for technical design reasons. (It *could* have, but you'd lose the history of it.)

Given the new nature of the expungesystem, does that mean the galleries also get permadeleted from the "favorites" lists also?

I have seen some of the galleries straight up just disappear from my fav section with Irodori Comics claiming takedowns.

That's irrelevant to the expunge revamp. Copyright holders are always able to file DMCA takedowns themselves.

Compilations are to be expunged as dupe but that doesn't necessarily work with the current system since you have to provide a link. So if the parts aren't already separately available on EH (which isn't a requirement for the expunge), there isn't really a link you could add that would make sense.

Technically, you can re-upload the compiled content in the compilation gallery separately.

However, that's very hard to justify if the compilation is made up of incomplete portions or multiple samples.

All it needs is just one valid link though.

Nope. The way things are handled are done this way so the site can exist in its current capacity.

i have never really liked this reddit moderation method. often the voting seems to be done by few people who have way more mod power than most people.

The effectiveness of this system hinges on we, the community, letting the administration know about any users who are abusing their power. If you feel like the "people who have way more mod power than most people" are abusing that power, then please let a moderator know and I'm sure they'd be happy to look into it

A denied petition appears to disallow new expunge petitions by users that are not trusted even if they are a different type.

I see a possible situation where a petition of the wrong type is denied, but the gallery should be expunged for a different reason.
The gallery would not be expunged until a trusted user starts a petition and it gets voted up, which would require more work overall.

If possible, it may be better if the denial prohibits petitions of only that type from non-trusted users.
