QUOTE(Ichy @ Aug 16 2013, 03:11) Can I has access to the Monster database and the ability to delete some of them?
Some shitty names really should be purged.
Still awaiting the Great Purge as well. QUOTE(Tenboro @ May 18 2013, 05:31) -- While not active for this patch, in the not too distant future, monsters with an empty hunger bar will not show up in battles. Monsters above a still to be determined powerlevel will be exempt from this. QUOTE(grumpymal @ Aug 16 2013, 14:18) You know what would be a revolutionary idea? If the new ability system was designed so that you had to choose one build instead of being able to flip-flop between styles.
Pretty sure that's what "Reset Fees" were. They should be reimplemented now that everyone has had time to test various builds.

IMHO, the ability to test new build ideas has to remain accessible to players, especially lower levels. They need to be encouraged to try new ideas out to see for themselves to actually see the outcomes from different styles. So they can learn that EVERY style can have it's niche, somewhere and somehow. So they spend more credits on everything. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Higher reset fees for higher levels? I don't see why not...but someone else might.

Uhhh, that's already the case. Reset Cost = Player_level * Rank_in_Ability * 5

Which reset cost is this? I was thinking about ability reset cost, which are zero for everyone, aren't they? But whatever, any reset costs scaled to level are good. So if this concept is in place already, great.

QUOTE(Maximum_Joe @ Aug 16 2013, 17:04) Ahh...so this is the reset cost waiting in the wings? OK. Can you help me confirm what the Rank_in_Ability factor is? Is it the "level" you've gotten to in the ability? IE in cloth, Cloth Spell Accuracy has only 1 level, so reset cost is 1 * 5 * player level reset cost...and a maxed Cloth Spell Crit has 5 levels, for a 5 * 5 * player level reset cost?

That was the cost before Tenboro made them free; I doubt he will change it. And yes, that should be what rank_in_ability is.

Awesome, thanks Maximum_Joe! So...for me at L315 and my abilities...I think I have about 65-70k reset cost between full melee and full mage right now. Expensive enough to make me think about it, good. This seems like a reasonable cost for higher level players trying to switch for advantage near daily in different areas, that merits a penalty if this whole concept is accepted. Which is most definitely ain't yet, but I think it's absolutely suitable to push out. Cost is lowered with more available abilities, maybe? But for lower level players, this seems like a real barrier to testing the different styles. Not even melee vs. mage, but melee-this vs. melee-that, and maybe mage-this-way vs. mage-that-way. Maybe a little level-based exponent needs to be raised somewhere...or a similar effect? Whatever, "you" know what to do. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Suggestion: Give prof back the damage factor, but only count prof > level, have the factor be /400 instead of /200 and halve the base multiplier for prof on staves.

That won't even be close in making gossamer more than worthless.

How about a high level Forge Ability to delete a Stat from Gear and then use the empty slot to add a new one?
Like you have there nice piece of Legendary Onyx Power Armor of Slaughter where you may delete the Resistance or any other stat and then Replace it with a new Stat OR increase an existing one even further.

Not so for me @315 when looking at stuff I have(granted, this isn't rigid).
Looking at my fire set, It has 235.8% Fire EDB( Surtr staff ). Granted, this means that switching in one would be most advantageous here.
I also have Legendary Gossamer gloves of the elementalist with 5 forges(so about 8% increase) - beforehand, they were worse than magnificent gloves without forges, better with. They give 74.44 prof, which would give *1.1861 damage and 0.236 prof factor, which gives further 5.9 points of MC and resistance reduction. Certainly, this is nowhere near enough to go full gossamer. But due the high EDB already present, I only lose slightly less than 0.15% damage were I lose the EDB from mag gloves. However, if I add up the damage bonus and resistance reduction and divide by 1.08, I get slightly more than *1.15 - meaning that gossamer will be inferior, but not so much that higher tier will always lose to lower tier, which is how it was before.

Please make a way to convert Stamina to Energy Drinks, even at a loss. Such as 20/1. My stamina sitting at 99 for several days feels like a waste.

Then EDs can no longer be sold/traded.
