So silly.

Why not just use Random Encounter for a new special mode?
If you win a RE in the next one the mobs will be 1% stronger and all rewards also up by 1% if you win again everything increases.
This goes up until you die where it is reseted. With this you will get good chances at some point but if you die it will really fucking hurt because you will need a lot of time to get the difficulty/reward back up.

I think the game needs a guarantee range of equipment drop quality. I'm sick and tired of Fair droppings on IWBTH. What about no Ex+ on Normal, and no Average and below on IWBTH? That way, there is a clear advantage to playing on harder difficulties.

Good idea, but needs some balancing and limitation.

If it's 100% stronger, the rewards also up 100% the higher-tier level player will be very very rich with equipments/drops (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Is 0.01% chance is an easy way ?

And the power of monster will be depended on your total equipment values. ( it means in IWBTH it will be 12x the value of your equipment and everything else ) or perhaps make it 20x like it was.

And that's good because? All I can see is more imbalance in the market, which isn't good.

In the time between the last ~20M of equipment generate in the game, we saw at least 3 major changes to equipment quality (i.e. PXP, or whatever the hell it is called by all the mathmagician in this forum...) and how we can get it, plus at least 1 major change to the equipment tier.

One of the change (a period which Ichy called "A Golden Age") indeed give more reward— too much, in fact! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

@Ichy: I approve, makes them a bit more interesting to do.

@nobody xxx: there already are limits - the highest possible base equipment drop quality upper third superior, and I wager that like item shop quantity bot the max quantity of items that can drop is 65535 - though in the case of potions I imagine only increase in the chance for highest tier potion. @10 REs per day which would require one to start accessing HV outside their free time on most jobs they'd reach 3x crystal drops in a month.

Trying a full set of Mag+Leg Gossamer of Demon-fiend. Boy does it suck. If damage isn't going to be directly affected by proficiency like before, then how about revamp the whole magic spell formula:

Get rid of staff proficiency in the damage formula, and change it such that magic proficiency can amplify total EDB. That way maybe mages will use one/two piece(s) of gossamer that is maxed out on prof.

edit: Then we might see various builds; all gossamer to amplify maxed EDB staff. or all phase with maxed proficiency staff.

edit2: if Tenboro wants staff prof to matter to mage, use it to calculate parry, physical attack speed, physical attack accuracy, physical attack damage (if it doesn't affect these already).

i'd like to mix different kinds of armor without losing the prof bonuses provided that you have the proper skills active and of course you only get 20% of the bonus for every piece of armor or that kind.

Since dark mages lost their advantage with the removal of poison last pach, i suggest a buff to ether tap depending on dark EDB to replace it.

All I want right now is advance warning if the Ability resets ever do get scheduled to have cost associated with them.

Moving between mage and melee means only 1 of them is useable at any time...and I just would like some warning so I don't get locked into one playing style without being able to think about it. Right now, I am 100% melee...but I am quickly finding maging to be very entertaining. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That's the frustrating part about switching between mage and melee is that you have to reset the ability points, and then reset them again if you switch back. What should happen is that for each Equipment slot it saves your configuration for how Ability points are allocated. That way you don't spend 20 minutes resetting and reallocating AP. Say you have Mage configuration for equipment slot 1. It saves how you allocating AP for that build. In Equipment slot 2 you have a melee build and it saves how you allocated points for that one so that all you have to do is to switch sets in the Equipment select and you don't waste all that time having to reset your ability points.
