Observe that Tinky DIDN'T Evade my attack. In fact, there's no log mentioning my attack against him at all.

2nd attack : again at Zombie Cow or C. DOM connected on B and D but not A and E ... Again, NO enemy Evade my attack according to the log.

It possible that DOM actually connected to ALL enemies in either directions, but my attack simply missed or evaded, without any explicit message telling it to you in the log. (maybe to speed thing up?) But this happened very often even though my ACC is pretty high (it's quite rare for my main attack to missed).

So if my DOM indeed connected but were evaded or missed, there IS a message telling you so.

The only conclusion I ended up here is : DOM chance rolled per enemy basis... With 60% DOM chance, there would be a 60% chance for DOM to proc on first monster and 36% (60 * 60/100) for the monster next to it, and so on...

Ok, that's Niten, not 2H.

Look to the current rules:

What you're suggesting perhaps is for Niten to follow the same rules as 2H?

The thing mentioned in the change log are about damage, not the proc chance itself. And from my short test, I believe this issue are the same for both 2H and Niten.

What I'm suggested is that when you hit something with 2H, with 60% DOM chance for example... Assume that I have 100% hit rate and no monster evade my attack, it'll have 60% chance to hit ALL the monster for each direction.


I will further experiments about this, and will show the results once it's done. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)



EDIT:: Actually, as long as the main attack hit, it seem that for DOM, miss and evade doesn't matter, it's all about whatever DOM proc or not. If it is, then roll the chance for the next monster and repeat till it doesn't proc or reach the range limits.

You're probably right. So what you're saying is, Domino Strikes should do even more damage than they do already. After they've just been buffed in a recent update...

Compared to DOM, which is 40% at start and slowly grows to 80% (and you can't do much about it..), I'll even give it a 80-90% fixed chance of an AoE equivalent of DOM Strike chance, or "hitting the next enemy using AoE" chance...

Speaking of stuff like Niten, could it be placed under consideration to have it actually have proficiency gains?

I know that it doesn't have proficiency gains because if it gained both two handed and duel wielding it would be better for grinding, but could it just raise one of them?

And speaking of proficiency gains, what would people think of a training to up the rate of those gains? Something like a .01 gain per level with ten levels? I know that this wouldn't make a huge difference to all the people that have maxed out their proficiency for everything long ago, but it might be of some use to most users, even if they only buy one or two levels.

Is Niten really that overpowered? Anything that boosts proficiency gains would be nice. Training staff proficiency by hitting things feels weird. Maybe up the chance for Magic Missile use over whacking. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

But it's not like you do something hard.
It's just fucking boring.

Like, I understand that to get good equips you, for example, have to do daily arenas on a high difficulty.
But entering a cakefest and spamming weaken is not a fucking achievement.
And it shouldn't take 10-15 casts to get 0.01 proficiency. That's fucking insane.

Not quite. You get one bonus aura point for each Metallic Aura you earn that's Tri-star or higher. So since Ichy is 7-star, he got 3 bonus Aura points. I've got 1 myself, being Tristar.
