QUOTE(danixxx @ Apr 20 2013, 16:46) It depends on how far you go and how much mana pots you take too. I wonder why you want the old ET back, i don't need ET for finishing any arenas now and holy need less mana like you said.
Even marathons? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

can the "restoratives bug" be fixed?
i don't know if i'm the first (not likely) to report this but i don't want to go back 400 pages to check. bug explanation: sometimes, quite often actually, when you click on "restoratives" the options "recover health", "recover magic" and "recover spirit" are available even if your bars are full. it's not a visual bug since i tried clicking on them with the battle items tab open and potions are actually consumed if you click on "restore all" (or the specific ones) even if your bar is already full.
now this isn't really damaging, except maybe for the very new players. just reporting it for the sake of it.

Not a bug. Well, a visual bug of sorts. Our stats are actually fractional (and stored in real numbers). It's presented to us in nice round numbers, but... in this case WYSI NWYG. So, even if it looks like you have full health, you actually have (full health - 0.25) or something. The potion does, indeed, top off your HP. And if you don't like the idea, buy a few lessers. Or heck, do a couple of normal rounds in GF. You'll be swimming in crappy potions. Or, just wait 5 mins. Enough time for your fractional amounts to be refilled. Someone who's been here since 2009 can fact-check me on this.

as i said it's not an issue for me. i'm more than self sufficient with potions, i have thousands of them just sitting around and the number increases day by day. i was just wondering why it was so. i guess the inbattle healing doesn't heal the fractional part of your bars then.

QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Apr 20 2013, 09:42) I have to ET my ass off just to make it to the end of IWBTH DwD (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) That's with 68k holyscore. You have 100k? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Score is all about level. I do think your 68k works better than dani's 111k because your lvl is lower. thinking again i call bs on your explanations. i remember clearly that even after completing an arena with full health and waiting several minutes after that derping around in the character/bazaar, so changing tab all the time and triggering updates (the regen was working for the other bars) and when i was ready to start the next arena and went for the restoratives, recover health was still available. and this happened so many times... also another funny thing just happened to me as well: i was killed in a GF so i was at 0 health (magic and spirit also very low), i clicked on "recover all" and went back to full bars. after that i just changed tab in order to check trainings. then i went for restoratives again in order to use an energy drink and guess what: (IMG:[ i38.tinypic.com] http://i38.tinypic.com/34xo0ba.jpg) yup, recover health still available even after using recover all just before. Thats certainly true for monsters without debuff but you have to imperil schoolgirls so it should work better for me.

Sure, I don't claim to be an omnipotent wizard. But I do know that (some) stats are stored as fractions. Maybe it's a cache thing. Or maybe I was stoned when I made the previous post. Who knows?

What's the connection between being stoned and giving an incorrect but plausible answer?

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Also, judgement. A lot of things seem perfectly reasonable to say and do which, in hindsight, might not have been so. But I really did think it was the fractional issue. FWIW, I've managed to repro Malenk's results, and as a result, had to eat my magus' hat.

don't feel bad about that, your explanation is likely correct, even if it doesn't explain why you lose your non integer portion even after using potions. i figured that this happens if you go into the bazaar. today i cannot reproduce it however. maybe my last level up made my health go full integer or it was fixed overnight.
