more like a few of them.

you use to be able to one shot hard with tier 1 spells 99.9% of the time and go for +10k rounds. now with tier 3-4 spells its just about every other round a monsters will resist/parry a spell on normal.

I find most these suggestions saying the same thing....I want it to be easier.
Why play if you want it to be easy...there are plenty of really easy games out there. I like that the higher my powerlevel the harder it gets.
I like that I have to work harder to get more crystals to make my monsters stronger and better.
I like making more monsters to get more stuff to upgrade my equipment.
Stop whining...please. *got a big headache trying to read through all the whining*

My only suggestion is one someone else posted somewhere in all this mess: for armor a Head/body/hands/legs/feet option when shopping & or forging.
Actually, I think the suggestion earlier was for Snowflake. An option for Head/body/hands/legs/feet when getting a gift. I like that one too.

Thinking about it why must Anti Evade and stuff come with existing gear?

Heavy has:
Plate for high mit, Shield Armor for Block and Power for Attack power.

Light has:
Shade for Evade, Kevlar for mit, Leather for Bazaar.

Cloth has:
Cotton for Bazaar, Gossamer for Bazaar and Phase for Attack power.

Sooo why not spice up some pieces a bit?
Gossamer gains some additional Magic Damage Bonus and increased defensive stats. Mixing in one piece of these should actually help you survive!
Then bring back Silk as the second rare drop. High evade, pre buff EDB and ... anti Resist.

Now Mage has the choice to go full power nuke mage, have a little defensive or mix in some anti resist gear. Obviously the damage formula must be tweaked so you can mix in one of these new pieces without having shitty damage output.

Hito's dragon and gandhi are annoying though (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) but while such a cheap set doesn't enable one to properly damage highly-resistant monsters, it does allow one to blaze through rounds far faster than melee.

Agreed that nothing should be truly useless. I believe I suggested MC for cotton before? Mages indeed should have more options than taking big hits and delivering in return.

Though do you know what's more versatile than anti-resist on cloth? Swift strike on cloth. With high enough value along with high enough AGI for level this allows for doing 1.0 actions without getting attacked, or getting attacked by only monsters normally close/above your speed, and t1 spell/focus/etc are all 1.0 actions. Albeit doing t1 would come before due X-magic and no such equivalent to focus. At the same time it has silly potential for IWed DW that heavily utilizes procs.

I think anti-resistance should also be necessary, depending on what you mean exactly by more power. I mean, even if you include all of the above, elemental mages and soul mages ((IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)) would still be irrelevant. Most would continue being holy/dark, which I think is a bit boring to see.

With elemental spells, some monsters on IWBTH take me 6-10 T3 casts to kill without Imperil, assuming no resists/evades. Imperil was an okay solution when it was first introduced because there weren't that many monsters that required it, but now I'm finding myself casting it 1-4 times per round. It can be very tedious. Silly amounts of forging and damage perks aren't realistic options for most people either.

A few pages ago someone suggested that the useless resistance abilities be converted to anti-resistances, which would address this issue nicely I think.

Use Scriptish or GreaseMonkey. It's dead easy to get user scripts on Firefox, it's just not baked into the browser like Chrome. Getting them onto Safari on the other hand. . .
