QUOTE(Supergang @ Nov 9 2012, 19:57) If possible, can the Stamina penalty day amount from the RiddleMaster be reduced from 3 days to just 1 day? Or perhaps increase the amount of time given to answer the riddle?
I am quite sad since I got two wrong answers on a span of 1-2 days not from my mistake. The problem was somehow the picture did not show up.
I have seen the complaint of "it didn't load" before, luckily hasn't happened to me, yet, but... How about a check to verify image was downloaded correctly before timer is started? (with a redownload attempt if it fails to download properly) Also I previously suggested that every correct answer on Riddle master should accelerate the expiration of previous wrong answers.

Yes, both of your ideas are very good. Hope they will be implemented later on. I am getting very nervous every time I need to answer a riddle now (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

If someone wanted to run a HV bot, they'd just hold off downloading the image until whoever was running it was back at the computer.

Tenboro: How would you prevent image from being DLed, though? Hit esc?
Even with that, that allows the botter to get through 40 rounds or so whenever they leave computer? Given the time it takes to through 40 rounds, it is losing time for them with the time taken to set the bot up.

If the botter is doing IWBTH with weak gear RM will show up only all few minutes. Plenty of time to do something else.

Yeah. I'm really worried about someone setting up a bot to obtain 5 minutes to make tea. They can have their 12 teacups a hour in that case.
EDIT: Though if HV allows actions being taken when the window isn't active, it obviously shouldn't if that isn't clear from above. But I'd think that is already implemented, is it not?

If I where a botter i would have multiple accounts and run them at the same time. Now he can just sit there and solve the riddles while the other bots keep playing.

That isn't prevented by only having the time on load you know, since it takes same time to complete one anyway and it isn't particularly hard to stagger them to avoid having more than one can solve at once anyway. Loading start would help nothing.

I wish there was a way I could spend Stamina without having to sit down and play. Like the old Montage, but not completely useless. Only slightly useless, since it would be significantly less efficient than a real person obsessing over min-maxing.

Hath Perk: HV Bot. will allow you to auto grind for xx rounds in GF or CF. Will use 10x the normal stamina and no bonus for going inside deeper. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I wouldn't mind a Stamina super-consuming mode that gives increased reward chances. But obviously that would need some very careful number tweaking or else everyone would play it.

That just wastes stamina, you don't get anything for burning it.

Suggestion 1: Make Riddlemaster appear before every round of fight(for 1st arena and hourlies) and before DLing something or browsing a gallery, to prevent bottings.
Suggestion 2: New difficulty, x250 - all numbers x10 of IWBTH. Named Riddlemaster for no particular reason.
@above: Given that 10 rounds of GF eats 1 stamina on great, just take five minutes to burn through 200 rounds on normal - though you might be interested in game called progressquest if that is too long per day to play.....

There's already the GP/credit system as well as a 509 limit.

Because, as I've explained before, doing so would be dumb. If someone wanted to run a HV bot, they'd just hold off downloading the image until whoever was running it was back at the computer. I missed said explanation. However, I can see things that can be done to resolve this: 1. Having code to verify image and initiate redownload if failed does not require allowing waiting. It causes you to lose some times but you still stand a good chance of solving the riddle in time. (compared to 25% chance to guess if it no image ever loads) 2. If a wait is allowed, limit the grace period to 10 seconds extra time before forcing the timer on. I had a bunch of other really complex ideas that could work but I figured KISS should be applied.
