Could you make the suffix "shielding aura" more usefull? I don't think anyone uses it because any equipment with the suffix has low mitigation against soul damage.

Both Shielding Aura and Hulk seem like they could use a little something.
Also, perhaps remove standard cotton from the drop table? Does anyone about level 50 use a single piece of cotton anymore?

Could the potion effect of Regeneration take place immediately after using it instead of the turn following? I, personally, think that makes more sense as I am more often refreshed after taking the first swig of a drink or whatever I imbibe rather than having to wait ten minutes for it to actually do its job. For reference: QUOTE 5 5 You have been defeated. 5 4 Cockatrice crits you for 44 piercing damage. 5 3 Fire Fox hits you for 52 slashing damage. 5 2 You gain the effect Regeneration. 5 1 You use Greater Health Potion.

Useful suggestion to improve the usefulness of the spikes.
The spikes could affect our physical attack? The chance of occurring would be based on the rating that you have the element.
rating element / 3 = percentage chance of passing the effect for physical attack

Because Healing Tokens are exceedingly plentiful. I've got, like, 500 of them even though I use them regularly.

Unless I am missing something....
Crystals as a reward should NOT be. You now go through an arena challenge to have the reward pay you "a" crystal to make the monsters trying to kill you tougher, that's F'd up. A crystals that is worth 2 credits while the least expensive mana pot costs you 30 credits. It used to be that you were lucky to have an artifact drop every 5 to 10 levels, you'd take to the Shrine and get either an ability point, some HATH, or a perm. +1 to a stat. You know what you get now ? 100 crystals worth F'in 2 credits apiece. Crystals which have only one design in the game - to get your character killed. And Chaos Tokens as a reward to make monsters to get you killed - that makes the same kind of sense.
Want to give people the ability to make monsters, fine no problem with that at all. Change it to letting people pay credits to create monsters, and paying credits to improve their monsters. But taking a charater's payout for a fight which cost some scrolls, (50 credits a pop), or perhaps a Lesser Mana pot (30 credits) and making it ammo for a monster makes F'd up sense. I can hardly wait for someone to fight the Flying Spaghetti Monster manage to kill it for a 2 credit crystal as a reward. ( ya ya ya they will still get the trophie I know - but they lost their best chance for a good peice of equipment for a 2 credit crystal)
Someone tell me something else is going on, 'cause even a big can of industrial strength vassoline isn't helping this one.

With the introduction of many new monsters with resistance to physical damage, could be implemented a way to change weapons during combat, leaving him more dynamic.
It could be used a part of overchange in exchange for avoiding abuses.

2 suggestions:
-Hath Exchange: When someone make a bid, he can't create an auction for 24h (or until next dawn instead) When someone create an auction, he cannot bid in any for 24h (or until next dawn instead)
(Not accusing anyone, but this should prevent for someone to "abuse" the exchange system)
-Cake setting: Since GrindFest has a credit limit now, as well some untold hard cap to the number of rounds we can play within a untold certain time, and since the items don't increase in IW (or very rarely), I propose to half the monster's HP.
