Anybody heard anything about Weapons with Effects? Poisoned weapons, weapons causing sleep, confusion and all other not-quite-useful conditions? Also your prof and/or spell power can be added to that (say, if you have 5/5 Poison, then your poisoned estoc will be stronger and so on).

Stupid Extra effects should be added by the Forge. Less Stupid Extra effects will require high Forge level, very rare forge Materials (Gems?) and a stupid amount of High Grades.
Now stupid Effects sound less Stupid.

Maybe instead of stupid effects, or slightly less then stupid effects all being prefixes and suffixes, make exquisite/magnificent/legendary all get extra bonus "stupid" effects on top of the prefix and suffix that it already comes with. The flat % boost is great and all, but every little extra thing can make those even better...
Say that legendary Hallowed Estoc of Slaughter popped out, and came with a 10% chance to inflict silence... (unaffected by curseweaving!)
How about a new shield pre/suffix that when it blocks an attack, it gives you a force field which negates the very next attack that would hit you. That's what sword and boarding is all about right, taking 5 years to go through an arena but staying nice and healthy.
Or shields (and shield armor maybe?) that are permanently enchanted with a (slightly weaker version of course) spike spell?
I would recollect a whole shield set just to walk into arenas and have all 4 spike spells going at once, possibly with the addition of holy, dark, void, and soul spikes. Mmmmmm....

Honestly?
Those Effects should only be on Shields and one Hand weapons. Reason: 2hand would be massively OP if you get certain Spells on strike. Also if you limit them so they will only Proc on Off hand strikes and counters those Styles would have some fun extras to play around.

Forge? That's pretty high level, if you ask me. Of course, 300+ players keep getting tons of materials every day, so forging is trivial for them. Not so common&easy for everybody else, you know. Oh well, this argument is futile anyway. In here, top-players run the show (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) But this thread is for requests/suggestions, so here we go. No offence. I personally think this game is very dull. I like dungeon crawling looking for chests/treasure. How about a world map, with regions for snow/ice, lava, desert, ocean, sky, space, etc.
The skills are very boring. I would suggest we make more skills... or at least classes where each has their own mini-skill set.
How about companions/pets that fight along side you (A.I. or player controlled?, equipable?)
How about make the game a little more visual, with actual images for some things.
I think 1on1 pvp would be quite easy to emplement. ..when a players action time/turn comes up it pauses game (time limit?) to give that player time to choose action. then action time continues to a players turn comes up. Each players screen would look EXACTLY like how current battle screen looks. (maybe added timer icon/counter) (your opponent/otherplayer name is in the right pane like it all ready is)
You would also need a page/link within hv linking to pvp.
The pvp page can have inputs/checkboxes for options. ------------------------------------------------------- Input box: name of player /// Button: check if player is online <-- comes back as online/offline/no player with that name And lists player level if online.
Check box: AI /// Button: send challenge <-- greyed out unless the online check comes back 'online' or if 'AI' box is checked.
Drop down box: decision time limit /// Drop down box: time limit (perhaps have player that did more damage/has more health wins)
Drop down box: other options? like rewards/betting -------------------------------------------------------
Have an ICON similar to mooglemail icon (like to the left of mooglemail icon) Or have it pop up, or something... hell or use it through mooglemail.
You got a challange popup/icon? (screen) ------------------------------------------------------- 'Player Name' lvl XXX sends a challenge! Decision Time Limit /// Match Time Limit (for the above you can request new options/times to re-challenge) ~~rewards, not sure~~
Accept Button /// Decline Button -------------------------------------------------------
BTW, any ever play duels.com like when it was out years ago? I sort of miss it.

Now in the correct thread!
After searching in the correct thread (this one) i found this suggested a few times before, so i added a bit taking into account what was said before, and am posting it if only to see what other people think.
Wands, for one-handed maging. Possibly a whole set of them with Canes being the common, with lower magical stats, and a higher rate of physical attacks (making them even less useful for a mage), Wands being tier2 and having more basic magic stats such as MDB/MAB and PBs, and Sceptres being teir3, having access to suffixes such as fenrir/heimdall.
All stats being lower then Staffs of course.
Possibly if the coding could be worked out easily, you could have Wands cause AoE spells to be cast as domino strikes instead of full AoE, and dual-wielding wands gives a chance of double-casting spells equal to DW skill, or just following up an AoE with a single-target spell.
(or to completely make this idea useless, allow a staff and a wand to be used, and have it be a magical niten ichiryu, and gain no prof! Brilliant!)
Though this would pollute the drop pool even more, it could work out very well for holy => dark => holy by having one hallowed/heimdall wand paired with a demonic/fenrir one to boost both spell type's damage at once.
It would also give rise to the ability to equip a shield and still play as a mage, much like sword&board is to 2-hand style.
To make it more appealing, canes and sceptres could even have some parry on them, and with a shield, use one-handed prof to allow for counter-spells...
(single target obviously, i'm not sure how to determine what element, because a counter-magic-missile would be fairly useless. Maybe a counter ether-theft would work?)
...to give a well rounded set of damage avoidance (and with counter ether-theft, more longevity without mana pot beer hats) for mages instead of relying 100% on being glass cannons with a shield made out of their spirit bar.
I'm unsure how PA would work with ET, but they seem like a pretty mutually exclusive bonus (PA boosting damage of an attack, ET draining mp), unless ET relies on delt damage, but it doesn't seem to be.
And with the reduced stats (basically across the board for them) Wands wouldn't really be able to double-up and outclass staffs unless you got a pair of really nicely rolled wands (and then it should be understandably so since you had to obtain TWO instead of just ONE.) and we all know how trollish that RNG is when rolling out equipment.
I'm sure this is probably (still) overpowered, underthought, and drop-pool diluting, but it could open up a lot of play-style options.
