QUOTE(buktore @ Jun 18 2012, 00:16) It might be interesting if Redwood, Willow, and Oak are 1-handed weapon instead. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Reduce their individual MDM, but dual wielding them yields WTF damage. If you're going to use a wand and a stabby thing, your magic will suffer. If you're going dual wand, you're gonna be one bad ass applebucker.

How about 1 handed wand + small shield? Will work out better i think. I seriously think the 1-handed-staff idea might be a good addition to HV. I second this motion. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I thought a staff would go well with a Focus or Battlecaster type dagger, also I like just the Redwood, Willow, and Oak idea cause the Katalox is already strong enough as it is I'm not a mage so I'm not sure but it almost seems pointless having thoughs when a Katalox does the job of them all and then some especially now PABs have changed.

People by now should understand they won't get full mana conservation benefits if they can DW staff with dagger/shortsword. And let's see...the DW staff idea is still good for battlecaster, but that will require some adjustment on ADB/MDB bonus from proficiency.

Just for fun: Pre-roll the drop for arenas and rounds of combat at the time they're started. If the player loses, show them what they would have gotten.
You have been defeated! You lost a Token of Blood and a Legendary Shade Helmet of the Fleet worth $$$$$$ credits. Arena challenge failed!

And have a 5% chance of showing up a different (higher) quality item than the one that actually would have dropped, so people are trolled about failure just enough but not overly so to make it obvious.

How about an auto-reapply feature for forge enchants? So that when it expires in the middle of something, you're not fucked?

We can already shard more then once to extend duration, so I don't think this will happen

5 minutes after I posted that, I tried double-sharding. But still, this is more of a convenience thing than anything. We all know humans are lazy (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Yes, but so is Tenboro when it comes to fixing something that already works (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by skillchip: Jun 19 2012, 03:32

the problem here is that, lets say you have 30 shards. You turn on auto sharding and go grinding. Then you forget to turn it off when you finish playing for the day. some time later you come back to play and notice your equipment burned all your tokens while you didn't notice. Although, that could be protected against if the auto toggle would only autoshard while in combat. Although, this does run into suspension of disbelief. So in mid combat your enchanted weapon stops glowing and you tell the monsters to wait a moment while you pull out your portable tools and start enchanting it again? Then again, the fluff can always be changed to allow such crunch modification if ten really wanted to. This post has been edited by mrttao: Jun 19 2012, 07:45

Why not just afford to put shards into battle item slots? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Another option which builds on your idea and avoids clutter on the active effects window is to perhaps make a token used in combat last a much shorter duration but apply to all items? (that way you don't have 8 separate enchants clogging up the active effects window) This post has been edited by mrttao: Jun 19 2012, 07:50

How about this:
Change it so that whenever a Magnificent/Legendary piece should drop, you instead get a token/trophy of equivalent item quality that allows you to shrine for an equipment type of your own choosing?
