How about an anti-resist/evade shard for weapons? Maging is completely impossible beyond a few hundred rounds right now, i.e. Crysfest and Grindfest.

Well, estoc was junk before, but now it's quite godly. Bleed was the shit before it got nerfed, now it's meh. Mace got the nerf stick shoved so far up its behind, and people are still clamoring for eth mace of slaughters.

It's just the nature of games. You can't expect a patch to not change the power balance. You never know, the next patch might make bleed godly again.

On the whole, forging is like a long term investment. Like 3-4 years down the road, or something like that (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

But I agree. Forging ATM is relatively useless compared to its cost, simply because we haven't got a permanent/stable item structure yet. As long as Tenb continues to make drastic changes to the item's stat structures, forging will continue to be a gambling game.

What we need is removing agitated state bonus and/or halving the effects of chaos upgrades (except affection). That should do it.

On my wishlist there are also:

Nerf and X-Nerf should have some additional effect beside damage reduction. I think 15-25% action speed or evade/parry/resist reduction will make this spells much more useful.

Healing Tokens giving +50% Health/Magic/Spirit Points regeneration for 1-2 hours (maybe more?). These tokens need some buff because now they are worthless. Maybe 10% damage increase or 0,5 stamina with a limit to use 10 a day.

Artifacts dropping rate should be increased by 25% or at least for amount to compensate the double equipment drop. I haven't seen artifact for 3 days (doing all arenas and 400 rounds in IW and I have 5/10 archaeologist) when before update I've got 1-3 a day. Something is wrong because I can't be this unlucky, can I (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ?

How about monster appearing system depending on last time check action? For example, monster who's owner didn't check on him for a month appears 50% less frequently than normal. To hold full time appearing player should check on monster at least once a week. Every week without master care decrease the frequency of battles by 10% to maximum of 50%.

Oh, and of course second quickbar (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Maces aren't nerfed as much as you think, actually. Especially after T-bro halved the old Monster HP boost. Yeah, it deals a little less damage, but not too less. Because this:

It's a gambling game for the players who always "have too many irons in the fire". After 0.6.6 and its shards everybody were obsessed with heavy armor. After the 0.6.7 and its PAB boosts many players began to buy phase. I'm not sure which gear type will be the most popular now, but I couldn't care less. As usual. The only things I've changed in my melee set for the last couple of months were a new mace (3 days before the 0.6.7) and new boots (5 days before the 0.6.8). So when everybody are spending a shitload of money to get a new set and forge it up - I'm just chillin' in the back with my good ol' forged kevlar set. Nah, there is no point in it. Heavy armor w/ shards gives more protection, shade armor gives more evade. Kevlar is just a well-rounded medium option, nothing more. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
