Don't lump trash like boggy into the "elitist" category. All he did after reaching Lv.250 was troll the wiki and forum. That is more like "Ichy Boggy the A-Hole" subcategory.

Aint all elitists like, the a-hole? I exclude Skillchip, Varst, 4EverLost, and others from elitist category, because they are contributing to the community in their own way. I apologize for those who considered themselves elitists and somehow felt offended by being lobbed in the same group with Boggy This post has been edited by Coma: May 6 2012, 20:33

Or maybe you are just prejudice against anyone above you whose opinion differs from yours. People who have been here the longest and have the highest levels should have their opinions valued more than others. They're ones that have invested the most time & effort and are most impacted by changes. And I couldn't care less if others don't like me if my suggestions make the game harder on their play style. Especially not lowbies that will just quit because they can't figure out successful strategies without having a golden path laid out before them or have someone hold their hand the whole time. Trying to help in this community is a futile effort when people refuse to read. I gave up long ago, because it's a never ending stream of idiots that send PMs and create new threads that can't do a 5 second search to find the answers themselves. That's why a majority of "help" is copy/paste links from the wiki or a canned response.

Which is why I limit my contributions to those that people who won't read, won't be able to ask questions about!

But if they supposedly won't read, then how do they know what advice you're giving them? Refer back to hand holding comment. Done with all that. I ignore almost all requests for generic advice. I'll still discuss high level strategy with others if I feel it's mutually beneficial. Optimizing crystal earning rate for Crysfest, max speed for regular IWBTH arenas, survivability/speed for schoolgirl arenas on BT/IWBTH, etc. Just not anything that can be answered by the Wiki or half of the player base in the Ask the Experts thread.

my contributions, are ones that people who won't read, wouldn't read anyway. Not ones that are aimed at those people (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It's aimed at the people who actually have mental capacity. My wording was bad there sorry.

Huh...I'm not around for as much time as you did, but I surely get your feeling. But sometimes people need some guidance what they first come here, right? Nobody can become an expert before they know how to learn things in the proper way. I know I'm doing most of the 'copy/paste links from the wiki or a canned response', but I still hope some of those players would start finding their answers from wiki, patch notes, replies in expert threads, ect....I hope.

Reinforcing suggestions for a fix to the "Dawn of a New Day" experience glitch (if you are in battle and receive a dawn event, gained exp. does not factor into unspent exp.). I know it's not a huge deal and is avoidable, but it kind of sucks to be penalized for checking galleries or credit logs while playing.

That's because the wiki is actually useful now. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Individuals can be smart, but people in general are stupid, so I wouldn't count on it. It's great if you still want to help, but you will realize the futility of it sooner or later. There will always be someone to take up after you when you quit.

Now that we meet lower Monsters Naming Guidelines should be somewhat enforced. Allow me or another trusted player to send you a list of the most stupid names once or twice each month! Using the The Official "Report A Retarded Monster" Thread as a base I will only choose the most awful Names like Hgcsfsdafssdasfdasfdasf or racist names. and no I won't report Nyaruko (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by Ichy: May 7 2012, 07:44

I realized that a long time ago. But 'my turn' hasn't come yet. That's why I'm still here (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE(derpymal @ May 7 2012, 05:59) It used to be useful. Until those of us who maintained it got fed up with the bullshit and it fell back into disarray.
And I should thank you guys who started all that. It's easier to maintain something than to make something out of scratch. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Okay and a serious suggestion: Channeling should be able to neglect the curse weaving effect. It won't make the game much easier, but it surely would make people feel less pissed off.

People actually use Curse Weaving? The only place where it's even remotely useful would probably be IWBTH legendary arenas, and maybe FSM but that would be pushing it.

IWBTH legendary arenas maybe you might need 2. I would use Slow and Weaken. I play BT occasionally and it doesn't require more than Slow, if even that. And that's with no shards and a handful of godly mana pots. FSM doesn't need more than Slow + appropriate Supportive spells.

It would suck to happen when you get a billion or more exp for the dawn event.
