Is that a bad thing, though? It can be good for supplementing your mana stream when it runs low (D&D BT/IWBTH), or can be used strategically to increase your mana income at the expense of making your progress much riskier.

Too powerful as is.

But I like the sound of it. It could help sustain a lot, and mages won't be so dependent on mana pots anymore.

Maybe it could be made to consume 100% OC in addition to the HP cost, or cost spirit.

Or maybe a new "stance" that consumes OC, spirit, hp, or some combo of them and greatly buffs mana regen to something like 10x base regen.

Health for mana is OP, especially for higher level players.
Health for spirit would be interesting. Just make the mana cost ridiculously high so people would be forced to use it under Channeling.

It's useful if you need Spirit Shield to stay alive on higher difficulties - ie, if you're maging.
AoE spells are fun and exciting, but if you need 4 turns to clear a round and enemies can kill you thrice over in one, it's kind of pointless to even try.

Well damn, I was scratching my head wonder why you guys thought this way until I realized I was thinking about it backwards. I was thinking gain health in exchange for spirit, making it a spirit version of heal or regen with a mana cost.

But yeah spirit in exchange for health would be useful.

Still want some sort of way to gain mana outside of normal regen, et, and pots though.

EDIT - Especially if SS gets nerfed (not that I can pull off perma SS yet without scrolls, I can only get in 10 hits before it wears off)

EDIT2 - I still need SS or SoL on even lower difficulties right now. Can't even be sure that I don't get critted for all my hp even on normal past round 100 in IW, or all 10 or whatever monsters land all their attacks in the initial synchro attack.

I use AoE to kill single enemies because Alt+2 is faster than using the mouse (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

Nah, it's proven that AOE version of spells are superior choice in RoB because of the x2 AOE multiplier on the main target.

I think its how much damage you can do for how much mana it costs. Will using a single target spell do the same damage vs a AOE that you target on a monster? Why use a single target spell for xx mana when you can use a more powerful spell for less mana or for free

Of Course Monsters can spam with HP Buffs and Flags (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

With this the game will be faster paced but not any easier! Just think about what a fuck you a High PL Monster can be with one of the more cruel Flags.

3. In the same Patch Scatter can become a second Chain Skill because now you don't need it anymore to make the killspeed bearable but as a tactical weapon against the cruel things this change can bring.

4. Lower the Damage growth on IW/CF/GF or remove it completely. It is a relict of the past when it was possible to play 10000+ rounds.

5. Make Resist work on Physical Monster skills but create a 'Flag' to allow Monsters to bypass it.

6. Sprites will always have the ability to ignore resist. (They need a buff!)

7. Celestials may spawn with a special Healer or Supporter flag allowing them to cast Healing and Supportive Spells.

8. Elementals can spawn with a special Flag allowing them 'Burn' effects and such with their normal attacks. (DoT Effects)

9. Also some Super rare Flags like Demigod Mode which will boost a Monster to Boss or Legendary like HPs and will grant a guaranteed Equipment drop.

This System could start at level 50 and will add more cruel Flags the more you level up.
