How about alternate modes for the difficulties. All the same shit, but 0 or only 1x EXP? I'd be more inclined to play on higher difficulties if it didn't put me on the fasttrack to nowhere.

Isn't the more direct solution to that to simply give an incentive to leveling after 300?

The "Incentive" is more ability points and better loot quality bonuses (unless that has changed). The problem is that that monster scaling outpaces character growth by a large amount, so instead of being able to kill something in 10 hits, it now will take 15, or 20, or 30 as you level higher and higher

Right, sorry. I should have said a more worth while incentive or something to that effect. I just meant a fix to the problem you've outlined here would perhaps be more direct then a limit or decrease in growth speed. Also: Did not know level directly affected loot quality, that's interesting. I always thought it was just that one could play at higher difficulties, get more points in LotD, and play more rounds that pushed higher level equipment to generally be better.

Level doesn't affect loot quality directly. It allows you to meet higher level monsters, which have higher scaled stats. Monster stats increase loot quality. You get better loot from a Wretched Egg (high stats), then generic giant number 12 (average stats)

QUOTE(wooty @ Mar 29 2012, 10:10) I think it'd be kinda epic to be able to offer EXP to snowflake in exchange for a random item based on how much you give. Based on wooty's idea : ability to offer leftover XP to Snowflake and get AP (with a 100% chance) or leftover AP and get a percentage of the total amount XP required at the current level (in the same way as the Dawn event currently works). For those with a shitload of leftover AP (hint : 350+ players and oldschool artifact diggers), since I suppose they still have no way of getting rid of them as they can't trade them and nothing interesting was added to the skill tree, it'd also be useful to allow players to do it the other way around. XP costs/rewards would depend on level and number of uses and both this and the 1 AP reward would get limited to once per level and/or a certain time frame to prevent abuse (such as powerleveling). tl;dr version : AP⇔XP feature added to the Shrine. This post has been edited by Mika Kurogane: Mar 29 2012, 11:00

How about the Forge allows to add Mana Conservation to existing Staffs and melee weapons? But only if you have upped said piece like 50 times before and will eat rare components. QUOTE(JJ_Zalem @ Mar 28 2012, 13:37) Some new use of Chaos tokens. "Banned monsters". You just write name of monster and you never have to fight it again. (I'm tired, for example, fighting with "Necron Raper", with all respect to its maker). You can unlock (and ban) more monsters by unlocking slots in the same manner like monster lab.
How about a Perk to ban one Monster Class? I would pay 1000 hath just to not see Giants again (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Cold Magic would actually be usable again... This post has been edited by Ichy: Mar 29 2012, 11:12

Limit 1 of each monster class per round, no gaggle of giants.
Change soul stone to give a long lasting buff that does one of the following: 1 Doubles overcharge gain during its duration 2 Decreases overcharge drain while in spirit stance 3 Decreases costs of skills

how about an feed item option in forge. feed a weapon some weapons/items and allow it to gain levels ala IW. Make the cost steep enough so it's not abused of course. Help the lowbies keep their gear up to level.
You could set a level = 100 or 1000 pts ie, feeding it potions = 1 pt, ave armor 2 pt, fine 3 pts, etc. I'd like something to do w/ my equipment rather than just sell it to the bazaar.

How about this?
The new Hentaiverse Monster Diversification Program: When the population of a particular monster type exceeds 20% of total number of monsters, no players can create new monsters until the population number falls to below 10%.
This will be calculated every 100 PL. So for example between 1-100, 101-200, 201-300, etc etc.

I don't think Dad cares about the monster census. If he did, there would already be mechanisms in place for managing the population. Instead, we have chaos, which is just as keikaku.

Just throwing that out there. Was that posted in the Gold Star Club, cause I get a permission error when I try to look at the original.

How about being able to offer trophies to the shrine for something other than equipment? Not hath or a bundle of crystals of course, but maybe a bundle of scrolls or infusions? Or anything else other than equipment that normally isn't worth much?

QUOTE(Ichy @ Mar 31 2012, 08:59) one more level of Focused Aura? Or a new Aura? It's already there. You just need to activate the Invisible Aura perk, which is part of the spectral auras. Slightly more expensive. And harder to notice, too.
