I just got dark and soul resist (for FSM & boss+ MP/SP attacks). Don't really have the tokens to regularly burn on IPU, so no need for holy. Everything else is iffy. Konata & Ryouko have elec / cold SP attacks, I guess.

and are there any custom monsters with strong magic attack?
It seems most of the high powerleveled ones are slashing and piercing only.

I think only elementals have a magic attack atm... and I just realized I have at least 1 of every monster type except elemental ><

Break the resistance abilities off of the spells so melee doesnt have to waste points in them

Spirit Shield Change: Instead of having it proc at 25%, have it happen at 10% so people stop dying from being hit by 4+ mobs or being double tapped (or make it work off of base HP)

After some testing I sadly have to tell Crystalfest is not worth it. Sure more Crystals drop but that's is.
But if I play Grindfest or even Item World I also gather some Crystals AND a load of loot which I can sell to buy Crystals from the Bazaar.

In both chases I can get about the same amount of Crystals...
So Grindfest or IW is better since there is always the chance get some kickass Equipment drop while farming.

Agreed, I tried CF once and it sucks. I will not look at it again till the drop ratio is at least doubled.

I've given crystalfest a go a few times, It seems pretty low yield :/

Also I still think Item World needs a revamp. There has to be a better way to level up items than hundreds or rounds of low yield grinding. Also did the exp in IW get lowered? I tried a magnificent item and the exp was worse than grindfest.

This. SS working off base HP sounds great, but you'd still technically get 1HK from 7 or more really bad hits with all 18 tanks unless it also happened at 16% or less - then you could even survive 10 really bad hits.

Another (slightly less overpowered) possibility is to revamp SoL so that it works in a similar manner and drains base SP according to the total overkill damage/base HP ratio, capped at 100% with 1 AP (still survivable with spirit tanks) and 50% with full AP. And possibly a minimum SP drain of 10-20% to avoid unwanted invincibility. (Figures are random.)

Some of the features in the HVStat script
https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=22652
are really nice and I think should be included in the core game. Notably
- large round counter
- durations remaining for spells
- an icon for the current power-up you have (reminds you that you have one)
these partly work now with the script (round counter does not, durations often do)

Most of the other things it gives/game are nice bar not as useful.

Make the progression from EoD -> DwD slightly harder.
Right now, I think there isn't any difference from EoD -> Eternal Darkness in the number of Legendaries.

I tried a search and went a couple pages back through it looking, but couldn't find anything about this, so i hope it hasn't been mentioned and/or shot down beforehand...

But what about giving melee weapons a suffix that gives elemental damage? specific kinds, obviously. Not to be too broken, maybe something to the effect of 10%-50% of the weapon's damage depending on quality (or just 100%, it isn't like crush/pierce/slash aren't basically elements themselves with just as many strengths and weaknesses amongst them)

The downside is still once you go into an arena you're stuck with what elements you have equipped, be it pierce, slash, fire, or holy. And if you dual-wield it's no different, having two different ones could be helpful.

They could even (rarely) proc the element's debuff effect (such as searing skin). I don't exactly hear of the mage players using anything but staves most of the time, and if they instead switched over to these for the effect procs, it wouldn't do too much help with the loss of EDB/ET/etc.


I would think this had been suggested before, but it might've just been a long time ago or something. If there was any reasons why this isn't workable or something, i'd like to know that too.

Edit:

It shouldn't be too far off from the Of The Vampire/Illithid suffix type, And if nothing else, it could just be a proc chance to activate for an additional moderate-damage elemental attack
