It would't, check this first, and do some calcs.
To be short, upgrading PL faster is unchanged, since the faster way is to raise all stats/resistances equally.

The System is fine as it is if you ask me.

How about forbidding people to create the same type of monsters before every other types have been created once?
This can practically prevent those tons of giants/dragonoid/whatever.

Yes but you don't have to max the skills if you just want annoying monsters.

Thinking about this it would have been better to limit Monster creation to 1 of each type per user.
Maybe 2 for Gold Stars.

Maybe it would have been better if creating monsters themselves costs Chaos Tokens, instead of using them for just unlocking slots. And then make the cost increase for each monster of the same type.

Ex: Giant 1 costs 1 Token, Giant 2 costs 5 Token, Giant 3 costs 15, etc.

Let's say you raised 11 points in every stat, you have spent 64657*6=387942 crystals. If I take those crystals and raise 1 stat only, I can raise 13 more points, in case I decide to raise 2 stats instead I only can raise 12 points, so I cannot imagine the hordes of both high STR/END Giants.
I used this example because I imagine's it's more less lise at this point, but for people who raised 5 points has the same result.

I think I said this before, but imo you want to create a monster you should first deserve it, by leveling up to a certain level first per example.
I mean the monster's visibility change was good, but still leaves dead "good names" for people who actually would raise a "good" monster.

Edit:
I'm not saying you wrong, as we shouldn't have this new crystals as rare, and keep the old ones, but I think my idea don't broke anything.

I can see your point but it would not exactly work like this. Of course they would add some points to everything since the first points are very cheap and then go to the more expensive points. It would be faster to raise a stat to a certain level. As it is now everyone would screw INT to have more Crystals left for the more wanted Stats.

Nah the Problems are Frith and the system itself. I suggested him to create some variety by creating a fast witch, a strong witch and so on but he decided to only care about the Number (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
Also since Monster Lab is not finished some points helps a lot while others are pretty much useless. + certain monsters like birds are very limited in what you could raise if you don't want them to be completely useless.
Im not saying your Idea is bad but now with unfinished Monster Lab it would not work well.

Before Monster Lab was actually in game I always hoped Monster creation as tied to User Level. You get one for free and then another one each 50 levels or so on.

That's actually depends on if your Ability Tree is complete or not.
For people like me, AP is pretty much worthless.
And getting AP from Artifacts is still cheaper than Training it once when you get to around 50/100.

Can the title of these popups be changed from "Equipment Popup" to whatever the item is called?
It would really help when having multiple popups/tabs open or when going through the browser history to find that-goddamn-staff-I-swear-I-saw-yesterday-but-can't-find-anymore-for-the-life-of-me.
