QUOTE(cmdct @ May 20 2011, 16:54) Suggestion: Remove the chance to get a trophy at legendaries arenas (except the last round), but change the clear bonus by 1000c per legendary in the challenge. It's ridiculous 5,000C extra for 50 extra legendaries. (I'm referring to the first time we clear the challenge)
I have something to add to this. In these arenas, a special trophy arena bonus should be added as well, a higher quality one, for higher difficulties.

QUOTE(Boggyb @ Jun 21 2011, 14:14) There really should be a limit on the number of infusions you are allowed to use per round. My thought is 10.

@Boggy: I don't really see why. If people want to use 500 infusions and spend 15000 turns on a single battle let them waste their time.

Infusions don't get used enough as-is. I'd like to use them to speed up arena/item clears, but gems overwrite them (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) This post has been edited by Ballistic9: Jun 23 2011, 02:30

Can we have option to send Tokens and Trophy's to other players. So that we can trade our tokens to get blood or opposite.
Because some people get to many blood tokens and some people can get to many Chaos token.
So with this feature we can make Balance.
If you don't like it then forget. It's just suggestion.

You could do both at one point in time, but Tenboro put a stop to that. He has implied he is considering undoing the moogle mail ban on trophy transfers, but I'm pretty sure the Blood and Chaos tokens will never be allowed.

The problem with allowing transfers of Blood/Chaos tokens is that the Arena gives out a disproportionate number of them. I don't want to create more incentives for cheaters to create multiple accounts in order to farm them.

The current system is fine as is. There would be too many problems and possible exploits associated with allowing people to transfer trophies.

I disagree. If something can be bought/sold at the bazaar it's already possible to PM with someone and organize a 'trade' so that one sells and the other is looking in the trophy section at the exact time and ready for it. Why make it that difficult? Just make them moogleable. Not all of us have the time or power to go through 500+ rounds of legendaries hoping for trophy drops.

Trophy trading was disabled because people were sending them to high-level players in order to get high-level equips returned to them. Yes, you can still "arrange" a trade through the Bazaar, but it will lose you tons of credits, and you risk someone intercepting it.

Instead of disabling, you could just add a fee, I mean every time we clicked "attach selected" with a trophy selected, a message would pop up saying x credits would be deducted if we wished to continue. This way we always lose credits in the process.

Tenboro = Drugs are bad, mmmkay. Allow them to trade around freely will ruin our nation, therefor I made it illegal to do so. DemonEyesBob = People will do drugs anyway even though it's illegal, and there will be someone selling it... So why not just let them? cmdct = How about legalize it and taxing every transaction instead? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

There are many things that can be exploited if one takes the time to do so. For most people, they can't be arsed to go through the cumbersome process of PMing, arranging for an ideal time, sitting at the bazaar hoping no one intercepts the transaction, etc, etc. It's made 'that difficult' simply as a means to deter cheating, not stop it. It's just like the mazes, I mean come on, it's not going to stop cheaters, people will find a way to go around it when pushed over the edge. It's just a speed bump after all. QUOTE(DemonEyesBob @ Jun 23 2011, 04:42) Not all of us have the time or power to go through 500+ rounds of legendaries hoping for trophy drops.
Even if you do have the time and power, you still wouldn't be able to do 500 legendary rounds considering only two arenas are open to you. And what you have mentioned is a problem in itself. If people that are low leveled (or ones that don't have time and power), have the option to freely buy trophies from high level people that can farm them, that would be an exploit, no? The higher arenas have a level limit for a reason and the reasoning is simple. You want those trophies? Then go fucking level up. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

If low-levels have the money, and high-levels are willing to sell anyway, I don't see how that can be called an exploit or even a problem. It's not like some low levels getting a bunch of Broken Glasses/Saplings/etc. is gamebreaking.

My choice of words wasn't the best. Not really an exploit, but more along the lines of "not how the game was intended to be."

But something like that still doesn't make sense. Compare it to artifacts for instance. Why are we allowed to trade them? Is it "intended" for them to have the possibility of getting +20 in all stats while still at a low level? Is it "intended" for low-levels to be able to max the AP tree? How about we just tell all the buyers: "The artifacts have a low drop rate for a reason and the reasoning is simple. You want those artifacts? Then go fucking level up your Archaeologist." Let's take it another step and compare it to equips. Why are high-levels allowed to sell them to low-levels? Should low-levels not be allowed to use the good stuff that high-levels get? We should probably ban high->low level transfer of equips "since these equips are good/high-level for a reason. You want these equips? Then go fucking level up your Quartermaster + Luck of the Draw." It's just weird how the two examples above are allowed but for some reason, trophy trading (because of low levels getting high levels to trade them) is an exploit. I mean, a business could be made from that. It would also encourage other people to level up as high as possible to offer the best deal (highest level trophy trader). tl;dr : Trophy trading is just another part of the HV economy.

That's funny what you just said because this: QUOTE(sushi0 @ Jun 23 2011, 19:12) The higher arenas have a level limit for a reason and the reasoning is simple. You want those trophies? Then go fucking level up. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) is along the lines of "not how the game was intended to be." Forget that, considering those players are farming millions of credits by selling the equips they get from those trophies to other players that's a exploit, or you forgot? To refresh your memory: QUOTE(Tenboro @ Oct 28 2010, 13:31) QUOTE(Alpha 7 @ Oct 28 2010, 12:41) QUOTE(Tenboro @ Oct 28 2010, 09:47) - Trophy drop rules have changed as follows: -- Trophy-dropping monsters are now only guaranteed to drop a trophy in the Ring of Blood, as well as in the last round of Arena challenges. -- Outside of those, the trophy droprate is 10%. -- Low- and mid-end trophies now give larger bonuses towards the equipment quality.
This may cancel out all of the other credit nerfing for me, as I very rarely play beyond Endgame. As is the intention. The primary problem was the huge farmability of rare/legendary mobs in late-game arenas.

But I liked the kick-backs from people foolishly sending me trophies to redeem. It's not like they got back good equipment anyway, just the usual crap I get from 99% of trophies. Last I checked, there are no player-specific advantages to redeeming trophies, i.e. a brand new player has the same chance of getting Phase as I do with any given trophy. I don't care either way. I almost never play the legendary arena anymore anyway, because they're a waste of time.

Maybe... but then again. QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jun 23 2011, 16:53) Trophy trading was disabled because people were sending them to high-level players in order to get high-level equips returned to them.
This is clearly an exploit of the system. (low lv. player could always get high lv. equip from trophy they got at low lv.) It's not the same thing as artifacts and equip trade. This post has been edited by buktore: Jun 23 2011, 21:27
