Suggestion:
Maybe we could change the costs of the custom monsters to suit each individual breed? Powerful monsters like a Giant or a Dragon would cost more in Chaos Tokens and crystals to create and upgrade than a relatively weaker Humanoid, for example.

QUOTE(cmal @ May 30 2011, 00:36) IMO, I think the leech procs would have been better off on accessories that triggered whenever you were attacked.
Isn't that what gems'n'shields© are for?

Slots/sockets whatever sound like a good Idea.
1 slot for cloth. 2 for light. 3 for heavy.

QUOTE(coredumperror @ May 29 2011, 12:58) Why do you want to reset your character? You're only level 27; you can't possibly have messed up your stats so much that gaining a handful of levels won't allow you to fix them.
it's not that my character's "messed up" per se, I'd just like to take it in a completely different direction from the get-go, and since there's no way to reset primary attributes, auras, armor and/or magic proficiencies etc. well, you kinda get the idea it'd just be easier to make a character reset feature altogether rather than separate aura reset/primary attribute reset/whatever reset options I suppose EDIT: oh and nice avatar btw, I still run XP SP3, and I adore XP-Tan This post has been edited by Battle_Hunter: May 30 2011, 18:02

Apparently it' not that easy, and PM Tenboro, he can do a master reset.

Sure, if they actually did that. But they don't.

Didn't mean the leech part. Did mean the getting hit part.

Actually, I do. But that fact isn't going to invalidate my request in anyway, right? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) What I have in mind when I request was maybe you could hire someone to whip your ass whenever you slack off or something of that sort... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) In fact, you should just quickly update HV more often with a rush-job patch with more broken feature included (which created unintended consequence as a bonus!) ... It's more fun bitching about it! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) BTW, it was just a joke. Both the request and this reply, I mean. This post has been edited by buktore: May 30 2011, 20:32

He could outsource simple, grunt-work bits of code out to freelancers so he can focus on the hard fun good stuff. But that could involve more work in the end, so probably not. QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ May 22 2011, 21:25) QUOTE(marcho @ May 22 2011, 19:59) Would it really be so bad to have a regular dawn event? We get a patch once every 1-6 months, its not going to be a large source of additional income to have an extra dawn on patch days.
It sure would make leveling things 300+ levels more bearable. Why should I have to take months and months just to make use of one piece of under-leveled equipment? Especially since stamina is the primary limiting factor in how much one can play. The credit limits were removed from grindfest even, so I don't see why you should still be so limited in how fast you can level equipment. At least have the Spelunker training reduce the interval by two hours per level instead of one. That way maxed training will free you from this particularly annoying and cumbersome limit. Have you given thought to this? It would definitely make IW more efficient with regards to its purpose of leveling equipment rather than its current primary use as a farming implement.

You have absolutely no idea how much time these things actually take to code and test. I'm not sure of how you go about coding, but I recall you often saying you've done stuff but it hasn't gone live because you don't want small updates. If you push mini-updates, you can theoretically up the update rate without actually doing more work.

Have a beta version mirrored to get testing done faster. More peeps means faster bug finding.
Or actually assign testers and reward them with something minor.

I'm actually pretty satisfied with the current update rate. It used to be much slower.

QUOTE(Battle_Hunter @ May 30 2011, 09:01) EDIT: oh and nice avatar btw, I still run XP SP3, and I adore XP-Tan I'm glad you like her, too. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I actually stopped using XP about a year ago, and moved on to Windows 7. It feels like it suffers much less from the annoyances that plagued Vista, and I actually like the OSX dock ripoff that M$ came up with. But I much prefer XP-tan over 7-tan.
