QUOTE(marcho @ May 3 2011, 20:24) Lock it to IWTBTH difficulty
or
IWTBTH Hardcore Mode
100x Mod, if you die your character is wiped from the database. lol.
You say that jokingly, buuuut, I would still be able to beat it. So if the penalty for losing is having my account wiped, the reward for winning should be me selecting another person's account to be wiped, right? QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ May 3 2011, 14:00) Ring of Blood Group Battle - You'd fight all RoB enemies from Manbearpig to FSM at once, with a higher entry fee. Maybe 5-7 tokens.
Fixed that for you.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Pfft, I played Diablo II hardcore and Blizzard didn't give us jack shit for char wipes on death. You could get a special title though. I suppose you would ave to disable either spark of life or flee to make it work, or any time spark went off you could just recast and flee with no risk.

Still quite doable. Even without abusing super-blind. QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ May 3 2011, 18:27) You say that jokingly, buuuut, I would still be able to beat it. Quite. That would be far less annoying than successive rounds. This post has been edited by hitokiri84: May 4 2011, 03:51

Hah. No equipment, no items, no spells, final destination.
Real men punch gods to death.

Even without equipment restrictions, an easy fix would be to limit the max percentage blind can affect any mob to a fixed 50%.

We're also adding the trio and the tree to the party and cranking up their buffs.

You already have to sacrifice all MDM and EDB to use that strategy, and removing it's only advantage would turn yet another equipment type into trash. Besides, that wouldn't even be "Blind," would it? More like "Visual Impairment."

Status effect: Seeing Red: Player's blood sprayed into mob's eyes, accuracy decreased by 50%.

Err... I kinda did that, just switched Infusions. But wait, I'm DW so nevermind.

I assume you meant a mace, and no that will be a disaster, since their high speed will not allow you 100% stun, you have to use EW, and I'm not sure if it's doable. I think only a mage could do it, by sleeping all monsters expect one, and killing one by one. (this on IWBTH of course)

Along with my earlier request about more weapons and the possibility of them having dual procs, maybe weapons that have multiple damage types. Using same weapons as before, flail/spiked mace have crush and pierce. Lance/halberd has pierce slash. This is tired me speaking sooooo....

Taking a page from my mudding days, how about different combat styles? For example, aggressive style that boosts attack damage, aiming style that boosts accuracy, defending style that boosts blocking and parrying, speed style that boosts action speed, etc. Then those weapons that have multiple damage types can deal different damage types in these specific combat styles. Oh and of course, these are melee only. Mages must be stuck on a normal mode that doesn't give them the above benefits. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

To be fair it would have to affect mages as well, but mostly pertaining to their accuracy or defensive stats

What I meant was, mages wouldn't be able to cast any offensive spells while in those modes. They can certainly benefit from them. But it wouldn't mesh well. Though I suppose in order to not affect melee, curative, supportive, and depreciative spells would not be affected.
Tenboro could easily balance it by making it cost 1 full turn to switch combat styles too.

Alternative, also let mages have their own set of styles that limit meleeing

Option in settings: Mugen Riddlemaster - increased chance to encounter maze in arena. Any buff is helpfull for melee. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
