There are tons of new perks can be introducted.

But I am not sure if Tenb want to do it.

Remove this "repair" thing. All it seems to do is take away credits every once in a while, and there's pretty much no positive aspect about it other than giving forge exp, which is useless to a person who doesn't upgrade stuff. As for people who do upgrade things, they can rely on their upgrades to bring them exp.

Also remove amnesia shards or implement some other purpose for them such as a partial reforge or something. Its a pain already not getting the potency you want, along with the wasted effort, and it simply adds insult to injury to make them pay 12k to try again and get something useful.

Today's reforge is much easier than before,just pay a little shard, I see no reason for complain.

Inflationary pressure was never exactly huge unless something slowly crept up while I was in my hiatus.

Anyways, I thought about the state of melee:

- 1-H is supposed to be the safe style. You have two sources of defensive hax, parry and block, and you also have counterattacks and Overwhelming Strikes to work with.

- DW is supposed to be less safe, but more offensive to compensate. The offhand has the sweet 50% parry bonus, and you have probably the better set of melee skills to use.

- 2-H is supposed to be the "balls deep yolo" style that has AoE and raw damage at the cost of no innate defensive statistic bonus (besides the 2H parry skill at level 250)

How it ends up being appears to be:

- 1-H ends up doing the most damage because you have permanent Spirit Stance because of counterattacks granting OC

- DW's limitation to pure single target damage makes it difficult to work with outside of Frenzied Strikes

- 2-H, with no defensive statistic bonuses and a piss-poor bonus from 2H parry, ends up being forced to spam cure every time it's up or die like a bitch.

I know that buffing things is annoying for the adminpony, but can we get buffs to the level 250 abilities? A better DW crit would enable (in the long run) a faster clear speed, and a better 2H parry would make it less annoying to deal with higher-leveled mobs.

Or you could just crank up the offensive stats of every weapon under the sun to try to increase the offensive power of every style but moreso DW and 2-H. That also works.

How about allowing each player have a single monster that do not need to feed. And that monsters is always a boss class monster in battle?
For its naming, force it to the user's name so we do not need to scan to find its owner. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

While I do understand the situation is better than before, I'm assuming that changes were made because barely anyone was playing item world for shields and armors because the rewards weren't worth it. I mean, it's pretty uninviting when most of the potencies are near useless. Suppose that someone gets an exquisite armor for 20k or something. I'm quite sure that they wouldnt want to try to get capacitor or juggernaut if they have to pay 12k per redo. I mean couldn't we have the shards as a staple in the bazaar for like 1k or something, so that it would be more inviting to play item world?

the fact is that before this patch a waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy bigger number of tries was required to have those potencies (madame luck allowing): while now you can have butcher 5 or every other specific potency on a weapon with only 5 amnesias (thus 60k, and once you've unlocked it as first potency you're almost sure to earn the fifth level) before you may end up with only 1 or 2 levels even after a dozen full-reforges (let's say more than a million?).

i remember that a leg piece of armor with juggernaut5/capacitor5 was sold at one of the last auctions of v0.79 for a very high price, and maybe it has barely been enough to cover amnesias...
