QUOTE(dnbdave @ May 29 2014, 16:57) I would literally KILL (mobs) to abate the flickering. It's not constant either, seems to vary in intensity and duration either with server load or connection saturation. Positive it's not my system since it happens on several different boxes in different places.
By now I've tried every hackshit ducttape maneuver to fix it so whether it be ajax or whatnot I'm prepared to actually beg and plead for some relief.
Try turning off "hardware acceleration". In Firefox it's in Tools->Options->Advanced->General

Could we maybe somehow prevent the bazzar from clearing out legendaries? To test my theory I bazzared two crappy leg armor pieces and both of them were removed within 2 minutes. That I honestly don't understand. Maybe if no one actually bought them in say, 20 minutes.
What's the mechanics behind how the shop clears/cleans itself out? Always been curious how that works and why it might be setup the way it is.

It doesn't eat equipment for 15 minutes or so, unless it's a retired gear type.

So the working theory is that people are turning and burning them, although I fail to see how buying power gear for ~20k+ and then salvaging it is a feasible endeavor from a profit standpoint. Still feels hinky, but you're the SME on this so I digress.

How about making the cure amount inpendent from Holy EDB and creating a new ability let prof buff cure? Beacuse, currently, Melee players (except shield one) are forced to use holy weapons. Changing it may give other weapon more chance and value. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

it may sound legit... though only reason i find for this is that database is too big, but we are speaking about text data, it shouldn't be so big of a problem .-.

I'm bored so let's think a bit, the latest eid that dropped for me is 46 703 093
the item key (from the URL) is 5 bytes all the rest below are random estimates --- name: of item varchar(50) renaming: varchar(50) --- => subtotal 100 bytes
--- type: 1 byte prefix: 1 byte suffix: 1 byte extra proc type: 1 byte proc 1 var (duration): at least a float, say 4 bytes proc 2 var (chance): 4 bytes WD: 2 bytes around base 7 attributes: 14 bytes say 3 PABs: 12 bytes --- => subtotal 40 bytes
forging counter on each attribute, say 20 bytes
IW potencies, say 5 bytes
TOTAL of 170 bytes per item
rough estimate: 46 703 093 * 170 ~ 7.4 GB
(yep, compared to the galleries that's almost nothing)

You forget eid(4-8bytes), key(10*4=40bit->8bytes?), enchantment(4*10=40bytes? and owner's id(4bytes?) and 1 bytes for the indexing of each entry. What database implementation is hentaiverse running on, anyway? This post has been edited by holy_demon: May 31 2014, 03:37

So, i made a post, but no one bothered to reply, so i will just leave it here: So guys, when i was a noob in HV, i've always wanted to be a Heavy cleric, (Heavy armor + Mace + Holy Magic) but now, when i wanted to see if i could start making this, i realized there is not good gear for this to be a good choise since you will spent a lo of mana with HA interference, and battlecaster weapons don't grant magic damage (neither armor).
So i wanted to know what do you guys think, is there a way to make gear to be heavy mage without being Overpowered?
Like:
Higher Burden Armor lowering action speed Armor wirh less physical mitigation Less Melee Primaty attributes (Str,End,Dex) Or the absence of some some of then when increasing magic attributes Making magic damage depending on weapon (Elmental for Swrods, Rapiers/stocs, Holy for Maces/Clubs,Dark for Katanas) etc Shields with less block chance ,and weapons/armor lowering it (with Suffix )?
All of this to compesate low interference and better magical stats.
well that's all thanks for reading, Hope this can be done in the future.
