Neuro, marimari_en, Pippa, Shondo and Filian for clips and highlights.

I didn't know that GarrGura left hololive, I guess it's a mass exodus. The Green Hair and Detective Girl recently left, too. Who else is leaving? Can someone compile a list of everyone who is leaving recently? All 3 regions, preferrably.

They're all indies now, which honestly I'm super happy about since they were 3 of my favorites but I never cared for Hololive as a company.

Nah, i'm fine watching anime solo.

I mostly watch clip and highlight now, but sometime I put a stream/VOD on the background while doing something else.

I get the appeal to others of having a fantasy character do videos, and it's great that they can anonymize themselves a bit more which helps with harassment and other issues, but the virtual avatar thing doesn't "add value" to the videos for me personally and in some cases detracts / distracts from it.

It's cool that they're able to use camera tracking to capture expressions and such though pretty decently without requiring a mocap outfit. No balls on your face (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I get it some people are camera shy. But honestly if I don't see someone behind the camera, I just prefer there to be a voice while someone is playing a game.

Not really. sometimes someone will link me something and I'll see it but thats about it.

No, not really. Most of the 2D ones I've seen just move in such an uncanny manner that I can't imagine watching them for hours. The 3D ones are more bearable to look at, and I'm fine with watching clips. But that's about it. There's just not enough of a draw for me to watch them seriously.
