No, sometime I just watch some clip of them. But the concept of vtuber is still alien to me.

Not really, I've watched some clips of them and enjoyed some of Korone's or some clips from nisanji's pairing (Like Gunkan or Hosikawa with kanae.)
But even if I might be wrong, sometimes the reactions feel forced (Even more with the English ones.) and it feels fake to me, maybe because of the anime layer added to the stream, but it makes me feels like I'm watching the catch equivalent of streaming haha. (Not saying you shouldn't enjoy it tho.)
So I've lost interest in it pretty quickly.

I don't see any appeal in watching virtual YouTubers when I can just watch real YouTubers. Seeing virtual YouTubers seems the same as watching anime, so I need something new.

I don't see the appeal of youtubers that don't cater to my very specific interests (that is, almost none of them), let alone youtubers with a virtual avatar that can't fully blink and fully move their mouth at the same time.

I started by watching projekt melody and thought her stuff like the YouTube memes and her watching videos was fun. Then got into nyanners, made my girlfriend watch her parody of seiso and her toilet reviews. Needless to say I broke her and every few weeks she plays seiso or when we hear the original on the radio we sing the nyanners version.
