I've noticed that I get this prompt from time to time, but my client is running normally, is this normal?

If it's just occasional, it means the remote host is blocked or misbehaving, your client should be fine.

Hi Tenboro,

Now I am using Hentai@Home 1.6.3 on my home server using port 7777.
Because my server have a web server already using prot 443.

I knew that port 443 is recommanded for Hentai@Home. Is there available reverse proxy that can made running port 443 for both web server and Hentai@Home?

I did google for this but cannot found any precise information.
If you can provide some key words, I can try it on my own.
Thank you.

I know some people are doing SNI-based reverse proxying, but it's not a supported configuration.

The minimum required version of H@H has now been increased to 1.6.2. Older clients will now be prompted to update at the next startup, and clients running older versions will be kicked offline in a few weeks to a month.

Reason being that 1.6.2 added support for WebP, which will soon be necessary.

Note that the minimum recommended version is still 1.6.3, which fixed a possible resource exhaustion issue in 1.6.2 and earlier versions.

I can't start the client after a routine restart of my server, is this because of a problem with my network?

It turned out to be a problem with my internet, it's fixed now, sorry for the intrusion
But I still notice that Code=502 appears every second when there are a lot of connections, which is not a good sign I guess.

Hard to say, but there are no gateways involved on our end, so it's probably related to ISP blocking.

Your client had a large number of load failures yesterday starting around 08:48 UTC, but we can't really tell on our end if it's related to your system changes or if there was some sort of network issue. Give it a day and see if it goes back to normal.

Noted. I am scrubbing my data pool. If the failure continue, the data may be corrupted. In that case, it seems that the only way I can go is to remove all data, static ranges and restart again...

You can just select the "Verify cache integrity on next startup" box under the client settings and restart your client, and it'll run a full check of the cache.

I have trouble keeping the quality high. My internet connection is pretty stable, but the quality keeps jumping between ~1000 and ~7000 for no apparent reason. Even now it is 1500 and dropping. I've tried ports 443 and 7777, but the result is the same. What could be a problem?

I have trouble keeping the quality high. My internet connection is pretty stable, but the quality keeps jumping between ~1000 and ~7000 for no apparent reason. Even now it is 1500 and dropping. I've tried ports 443 and 7777, but the result is the same. What could be a problem?

"Pretty stable" is kinda vague, but basically, quality can be affected by system overloads, your connection to your ISP, your ISP's connectivity to the rest of your region, and to a lesser extent, your region's connectivity to the world as a whole. If your system and connection is fine, it's usually some ISP or regional connectivity issue, which you just have to wait out.

Pretty stable means it may disconnect once or twice a month for a few minutes and once every other year for a few hours. The current PPP session lasts from the 28th of October. I'm running H@H for more than 2 moths, and the problem with the quality rating started from the third week or so and lasts for ~2 moths.

Unfortunately, quality is more than just if it's connected or not. I had severe quality problems a while back that stemmed from some old cable company hardware further down the street. That was making my connection speed fluctuate a lot, and packet loss was hell.

It's not unlikely that the quality issue is something outside of your control.

Hi not sure if this is the right place to ask but is there a way to voluntarily leave the project without having being out right revoked?

You just stop running it. It'll be deleted automatically after three months or so.

Unless your client was revoked before you stopped running it, sure.
