I may need you to remove my h@h client privileges because I can't confirm that I can get a public IP in my new home (it's very hard to get one in China).
My client id is:45734

I really love ehentai very much and hope ehentai can exist forever.

You can just close the client and not start it up again, it will be cleaned up eventually.

There's also a solution for this problem, cause occured on my server too.
Logically, the client will request the service first, the server will obtain the client ip, then use it for other nodes's connection. So if you use the proxy, the service will obtain the proxy ip, as we known it's not true.
According to this, you can put the rpc-server-ip into "Direct List" of your proxy programme, then the client will not use the proxy ip but the real ip to request the server.

Perhaps the rpc-server-ip is different for different people, but you can find it in the starter log.

You can find the line "2024-05-14 17:56:30 [DEBUG] Connecting to 94.100.24.67...". This ip is rpc-server-ip.
There will be 2 or 3 ips actually (in the source code, i debugged and found they are 94.100.24.67,94.100.24.68,94.100.24.69), and client use one of them, so you can put ip/mask into your direct-list (like 94.100.24.0/24).
BTW you'd better shutdown your proxy program and start the hah client by once to get the rpc-server-ip so that the client can use your real-ip to request the server, then get the correct rpc-server-ip, though I'm not sure it's necessary.

For that, the server will obtain the real-ip of your client, and you can check it at your hah homepage.

You can try it, at least it's useful for me.

However, I can set up port forwarding so that when accessing a certain port on 203.xxx.xxx.212, it can reach this server. Is there any way to also run hah on this server?

Unfortunately not, the incoming and outgoing IP must match.

Can someone please explain the nature of those errors? I am dropping quality like crazy on my Asia and Oceania VPS. Until recently it had 10000 quality, being only a week old though. It also stopped getting new static ranges for a few days now.

It's serving files periodically and trust is 1000 so I'm not really sure what is going on. In other regions VPS' are spotless with 10000 quality.

Could anyone please have a look at my client number 47454. It seems to be struggling to gain meaningful hit rate compared to its age, and has actually backslided in hit rate about 30% during last week or so, despite quality and trust being constantly over 8000 and maxed, respectively, and client running continuously for months.

I suspect there is something off, because I have seen other clients in the same region rise through the ranks much faster with less bandwith allocation.

I read about some false positive overload triggers and wonder if this might be the case? Or that weird old problem with clients with very high port number (over 50k-something) being effectively denied traffic despite nothing showing up in error logs. Just withering and dying, until port is changed to a lower one. I don't know if that is a known issue, but have encountered it personally when setting a port number close to 60k.

Missed this. Looks like you capped out a field in an internal statistics table. This should be fixed now, but let me know if it doesn't update properly on the next run.

~50K files served already, i mean define what is new(-ish)? And what rates can be on healthy old(-ish) cleints?

It can take more than a few months before the client picks up the pace. Even longer if your client is deployed in a saturated region like America and Europe.

Hard to say how high a new client would get eventually, but unless it is a Mainland China or Japan (or anywhere near it) client, don't expect a quick hath baron experience. It all depends on the max speed, cache size, and availability of static ranges etc.

Got an issue with the filename of a gallery when using the H@H downloader. It's running on linux, on a ZFS share.

Gallery has a nonstandard ā character in its title. Is there a flag to replace nonstandard characters with placeholders?
